I haven't been on HF in a long time. I am still a member of Canuckscorner and haven't missed cdc since being banned from there . I find canuckscorner pretty one-dimensional and limiting, actually. Probably more so than calpuck, which I do lurk occasionally, if nothing else for the schadenfreude (although that has been alarmingly unavailable recently  ) - at least calpuck will tolerate non-flames fans becoming members; I don't know if cc has more than one, non-canuck fan among its regular members, if any.
Like Harmy, I do appreciate all of you (some of course, more than others - you know who you are ), and meeting you has made it that much more enjoyable. Yes, stinky really is more absurd in person than online (i didn't think it was possible - I blame fatherhood for his recent mellowing out - that and the inability to quaff a beer without losing his lunch). I actually prefer to find hockey bloggers and read their stuff.

There are a couple, but it's not like they're getting banned or chased away like on Calpuck -- there just aren't many who have signed up in the first place. (The only two banished were both Canuck fans). Canuckscorner is actually an extremely mature group for a team-specific board, quite comparable to here, especially keeping in mind that it's not the principal team board. Compared to Calpuck, it's the New Yorker.

Dont know any good forums , bro.Sorry , we're spoiled here.
I understand Harmy's dilemma , I take it for granted I live in the city of my favourite team , meaning I can talk Canucks pretty much 24/7 anywhere with anyone and we have 24/7 coverage , my fix is always fullfilled. So this place is perfect for me , I dont need the quantity , I was happy when we had 20-30 regulars in the Canucks forums as I am now with 5-10 of us left. We have good chemistry here , we all know what buttons to push and not to push with each other. But I hear ya Harm , sometimes you just wanna discuss and break down the team with others who care about the team , want some fellow diehards to bleed and breathe the team colours with.
Personally , I just read and troll websites , Im an Offthepost exclusive nowadays. You'll only find me posting hockey talk here on a regular basis ...excluding chatting with friends. I use to be a regular on my friends' Canucks website (Canucks Report) its targetted for girls , so I was their male correspondant but that forum dissolved into a general chat forum. Its dead now.
When I was on Myspace for a short time , I was in the Canucks group and I started to post casually and got into a heated arguement with this dude. Though he had no arguement and he was annoying alot of us , I left voluntarily caz Myspace=CanucksDotCom... seriusly I was there for 1 week at the most. I get sick of CDC within minutes.
I use to be regular on a NFL board , I was the Harmfuljay of the NFL board , by myself chatting about the Seahwks.. then I got baord and left.. so I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND , Bro. Now , I just join newsgroups and get updates and Ill post questions for my pools but I dont chat anymore.
But Ill repeat what most have said , I appreciate the maturity of this board despite my own desire to give Razz a wedgy. |
