Great point. You don't have to give two shits about some random guy who died, but to claim that he's any less of a person than you or someone you know personally just because he was famous is rather cruel and inhumane (not to mention textbook schadenfreude).

And just where did I say he was less of a person than anyone else? I just said I don't think he's more important than everyone else. How many people kill themselves everyday? LOTS. Are they less 'human' than Heath Ledger? Where's the crying masses for the rest of them?

So what is the deal with the Olsen twin here? It came up and just kinda died out... no pun intended... well... maybe a little.

I was referring more to Lil's comment about him being a "non-person."

But your comment suggests that we/people care that he died (and perhaps offed himself, although we don't know) because he was famous, which is largely beside the point.

And yeah, I don't cry for Heath or the many many people who die everyday - it's no skin off my back - but I don't resent the fact that people only care because he was a young celebrity.

Ah, yes, I missed Lil's comment. I don't think she literally means he is less than human, but more likely she's just sick of the hollywood stories getting blown out of proportion.

I do in fact resent the people who only care because he's a celebrity. By putting Heath Ledger and others on a pedestal, they're basically implying that all non-celebrities are sub-human and not worthy of anyone giving a shit.

If the entertainment reporters don't put them on a pedestal before hand how can they tear them apart later with a clean...the price of fame...conscience?

How do you accidentally take all this to close together?

This is getting WAY out of hand. I said the celebutants of Hollywierd are non-people TO ME. I didn't say they weren't human. Those people just don't mean a rat's ass in my life. And yes, I am weary of the out-of- proportion coverage. But that is our world. I just try to ignore most of it.

{Lil lets out a blood curtling laugh and signs off..}
