Now mind you I have been watching closely and I have come to the conclusion that the Mitsubishi Eclipse is this era's Camaro.
The same type of folks who drove that Camaro, Firebird or TA in the 70's drives an Eclipse or God forbid an old Eagle Talon.
The cars are cheap and moderately quick.....although not as quick as most of the jokers behind the wheel would believe. _________________

Mitsubishis remind people of The Fast and The Furious. Compact Japanese cars that can duck and weave through traffic and win street races against Vin Diesel.
I see way too many Mitsu's 'round town in lime green with racing stripes. _________________ It seems like you need to be a physics professor to choose the right TV. Luckily, I am one.

Man, I've ALWAYS wanted an 80's Camaro ... an IROC w/ t-tops. That would would rugged! If I ever strike it rich, I'm buying an old IROC to pound the shit out of. Ditto for an 80's / early 90's Mustang 5.0. With t-tops.

Those are really tough cars! I've wanted a Trans Am since I was like 5 years old .... Always have been facinated by cars! And then when the new style Camaro Z28 / IROC's came out in the 80's ... man those were great looking rides!
Despite the 455ci motor, those cars in the 70's & 80's were dogs really .... Around '72, the government called for tighter restrictions during the fuel crises & thus the compression ratio went WAY down w/ more restrictive caburators. The fuel savings though was nominal at best though.
Didn't Babin have a ride like that!? That dude was cool man ... he even had a mullet!

| My first car was a maroon '86 IROC-Z with the 305 Tuned Port Injection and T-tops. I loved that car. Still my favorite car I have ever owned. Man that was fun. And yes I could beat most of the other punks at the school that I occasionally attended. |

Fuck yeah! I think '86 was when they started giving those cars some ponies again! Nonethess, with the V8's, it wasn't too difficult to engineer some serious horsepower out of those. It's so rare to even see a Camaro around here now ... I always thought those 80's ones were a great looking car; didn't have the plain cookie-cutter look of many of the others. _________________

For Butch: This generation's Camaro could be - well - a Camaro Hybrid.
Not sure about the bile-yellow paint job. _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

I like gasoline chugging, alcohol burning pony cars just like the next guy, but if we can muster some high-octane type peformance out of a hybrid, I'm all for it! We've been running cars on refined oil for quite sometime anyway .... about time we see the General getting more inovative! _________________

IROC, TA people of my era are replaced by the same type of folks in this era driving an Eclipse.
They wouldn't be caught dead behind the wheel of a beauty like that. _________________
