Oh my God.
Richard Zednik was hurt. Badly. He was taken to the hospital. I'm not sure what happened I wasn't watching. But Jeanneret said the crowd reaction reminded him of Malarchuk.
They just resumed playing.
I'll post details when I find them out. _________________

He was cut on the side of the neck. I didn't see it.
edit: Panthers' Zednik suffers jugular cut
| Quote: |
| The scariest moment in hockey happened again in Buffalo, as a player had his jugular vein severed Sunday night during the Sabres game against the Florida Panthers. Florida's Richard Zednik was struck in the throat by the skate of falling teammate Olli Jokinen, a large trail of blood leading Zednik halfway across the ice to the dressing room. |

Oh man, did he skate over to the bench under his own power? It looks like the trainer was on the ice before the play was even blown dead...
Thank God he's stable... _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

I really liked Z as a hab. If this ends his career at least he makes off with his life... _________________ The crowd once again showed its IQ level when it shouted ``U-S-A, U-S-A,'' during the fight. Their hero, Downie, is from Newmarket, Ont. |

Me too stinky. Zednik was a sparkplug kinda player.
I think Malarchuk came back that season, so hopefully Zed will too. _________________ The fans represent the soul of the organization. This is their team. Us, we simply try to make it better. Malarchuk was back at practice in 4 days and back playing in a week. But the doctors told him to sit out the rest of the season.
(I've been doing some research on it tonight.) _________________
