Unreal. 22 points in 14 games, on pace for a ridiculous season.

Sooner or later though Shero is going to have to deal for a goalie. |

| Quote: |
| "That second assist was a shining example of what this game can truly be—Crosby recognized the screen, found the open man with the angle, and displayed the awe-inspiring talent one associates with a Muhammad Ali or a Michael Jordan. Hockey is surely saved now." Bettman also acknowledged single-goal, two-assist performances from 13 other NHL players including Chris Chelios, Dany Heatley, and Todd White, but emphasized that, unlike Crosby, they had not saved the NHL. |

Shut this thread down! It's Geno's show now!
2nd in the league in scoring, and a ridiculous 32 points (including 16 goals) in his past 17 games.
He's only 3 points back of Ovechkin... and the Pens are now 5-2-2 without Sid.

Gino certainly isn't the Pen that I would have expected to be in the hunt for the Hart at this point.
Go figure. Conklin and no Sid. wtf? _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

I'm sure it will eventually catch up with the Pens, but then again with Sid skating, who knows if he'll be back soon.
When is he supposed to be back? _________________

I think he's skating with the team again. Not sure what the timetable is. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

If Sid and Geno were on different lines before the injury, then I might be inclined to believe it would catch up, but let's face it.... Malkin has just decided to take the team on his back for a change and he's in the same class of talent as Sid, Ovechkin, Kovalchuk, etc but has just been playing shotgun as Sid's winger this year.
When Sid comes back they should keep them split up on two different lines as the centres.
As for Sid's injury, suppsoedly he'll be re-evaluated in two weeks and then after that it'll likely be another week or more. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. Oh, I don't diagree with that, I'm just saying wiht Sid gone that long and Conklin, playing the way he is, I can't see that going on forever. _________________

Yup, Malkin has always been regarded as a franchise-level talent, and he's playing like one right now. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

This thread should be altered to Malkin wood. The "other" kid's gone on a freakin' tear since Sid went down.
BTW haven't heard a damn thing about Jordan Staal. Are his struggles continuing? |

You might take note that that's what the preceding, like, 8 posts were about. _________________

Staal's just not burying his chances.... and I think he's been given a bit of a defenisve role this year. It's tough to tell... from the games I've seen, he's played well even if he doesn't get on the scoreboard. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. I should speak to her. Seems kind of weird. Goal scoring looked ridiculously natural and easy for him last year. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!
