Agreed, Murray dumps a contract no one wanted and that he desperately needed to rid himself of, and gets viable depth in return.
Bad news for the Habs though...the tongue-biter is in their division! |

Murray actually just cleared a half mil worth of season cap space in getting some scoring depth and a sweet fro. Eaves+Corvo=3.567 and Stillman+Fro=3.05. I'm not sure if it really matters unless he makes a big time move because he still had almost 3 mil worth of cap space to begin with. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

| Carolina doesn't totally lose out on this deal, they get a guy who, if he can just stay healthy could be a 1-2nd line guy (if anyone can turn him into a reliable scorer it's gotta be Staal, right?) and they get a younger guy to work the power play so's they don't have to rely so much on Frantisek Kaberle. I know, it's clutching at straws... |

They weren't relying on F Kabs for the PP... they often run a 5 man unit of all forwards with Cullen running the point.
This takes Stillman off the unit and Corvo on it. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. I should speak to her. But what the hell can I say? Anything that doesn't mention that I masturbate over her memory is probably a good idea."
