Ferguson joins TSN as hockey analyst
TSN.ca Staff
2/12/2008
With two weeks to go until the NHL Trade Deadline, TSN today announced it has acquired John Ferguson Jr. as a guest analyst for the NHL on TSN and TradeCentre 08, marking the former Toronto Maple Leafs GM's debut as a television analyst.
"I made many trades over 10 deadlines in management with St. Louis and Toronto," Ferguson says. "I look forward to plying a new trade with TSN this deadline."

Ugh... recently fired rookie analysts are always the least interesting. Claude Julien was on their broadcast in '06 and said absolutely nothing of consequence, provided no insight, even on the Theodore trade (which ultimately proved him right on that last straw decision of his that got him canned).
He won't say anything that is remotely of interest to anyone, even if the Leafs pull a fire sale. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. I should speak to her. But what the hell can I say? Anything that doesn't mention that I masturbate over her memory is probably a good idea."

Well, so did Mike Milbury, but I don't think that automatically means that he's qualified as a trade analyst.
Word has it that TSN has just signed Tie Domi to a new 5-year deal with a no movement clause. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

God, I hope not! He was fun to watch on the ice & all, but his abilities on TSN left something to be desired.
My favorite ex-Leaf guy they have on TSN/Sportsnet still remains Glenn Healey. AND - he should be under Fletcher's wing learning the ropes. Still have a gut feeling he would be a good GM.
