2-2 going into the 3rd.
The 2nd was awful for the Habs. Huet played well after supplying the odour to the first two goals.
Apparent report on CJAD before the game was that the woman whose purse was "snatched" by O'Byrne is dropping the complaint. Stay tuned.
O'Byrne is playing tonight, Kostopolous isn't.
Lapierre just missed an open net early in the 3rd. _________________ It's backwards time. |

The Habs' defensive coverage is really poor right now. While Huet should've had the 1st goal, there was no reason for Hlavac to have an uncontensted shot from the top of the faceoff circle considering the circumstances. Lightning players are getting open in the slot consistently. _________________ It's backwards time. |

Unless they're named St. Louis, Lecavalier, or Richards, why not let em shoot away and get Huet some practice? _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Considering the goal scorers tonight are Ouellet and Prospal, that doesn't sound too good.
But that seems to be the Habs' philosophy when it's Tarnasky, Roy, and MacDonald out there.
Of course, those are wasted opportunites for the Habs to turn up ice and force the play. _________________ It's backwards time. |

Imagine this... the Habs are short Hamrlik and have dressed Streit as a forward... and can't manage to create any attack on transition. _________________ It's backwards time. |

Yeah I guess Prospal can score too Boy is he bouncing back from last year, although it's doing nothing for Tampa. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Geez, couldn't have imagined that. Prospal WIDE OPEN in front with Komisarek and Plekanec not paying any attention and the Lightning get the GWG.
Yeah, I know there's 8 minutes left, but this one's over. _________________ It's backwards time. |

Brutal. Started off so well and ended ugly.
On the one hand - Gainey's signing of the Hammer was excellent. I don't think we've won a game without him.... all four of them, or something like that.
On the other - boy - our defense is thin without him, especially when you have streit on forward Did Carbo hope to just outscore them?
The lack of a second line is starting to hurt this team. _________________ The fans represent the soul of the organization. This is their team. Us, we simply try to make it better. That was an ugly performance, and we all seem to be on the same page as to understanding why.
Nice to see a line of Koivu-Sergei-Lapierre with 1:20 to go. That's the second-best we could do. _________________ Beat my drum down in Mexico! To Tijuana, Tijuana here we go!

This was my face whenever those guys were on the ice, especially against the top line and the inexplicably effective Gratton-Tarnasky-some bum line. _________________ Beat my drum down in Mexico! To Tijuana, Tijuana here we go!
