Shit! Assuming this happens, there goes more defensive depth, as well as one of the team's better trading chips. Plus season-ending surgery isn't going to bump up his off-season value, either.

Krajicek on the other hand, is likely headed to the operating room. Krajicek was scheduled to have an MRI on his injured right shoulder Tuesday and he didn't sound optimistic.

"It's really disappointing," Krajicek told Vancouver Sun. "It looks like I might need surgery, which means I'd be done for the season.

Is it just me, or the Canucks -- even more so than most teams -- tend to downplay the seriousness of injuries? This has to be the third day-to-day in the last couple seasons which has turned into season-ending or close to it.

Hrmm... Confused I know Luvah reported yesterday that Vancouver is out of the Forsberg sweepstakes; I wonder if this doesn't put more pressure on AV to try and get Forsberg or Brunnstrom signed - now that he has even fewer bargaining chips (Miller and Cooke, along with the usual suspects Shannon, Isbister, Cowan, Linden, et al) since it won't cost him any frontline assets. And who knows if Miller's foot will heal before the deadline. Schneider is also a possibility but since he's not exactly been lighting it up in the A, I don't think he'll yield much in return.

It does bode well for Bourdon to stick around longer, though:
Salo/Ohlund
Edler/Mitchell
Bourdon/Miller (or BXA)

Well Schneider's in pretty tough considering the entire D is up with the big club and I would much rather have Bourdon in the lineup ahead of Krajicek,It already looks like Lucky Luc is ahead of Krajiceks learning curve,This could prove to be an actual stroke of luck for a team that hasn't had much luck this season.

ahhhh I thought you meant when a team says its not serious , its usually worse! I didnt even consider it was about Krajicek's game lol

Here's the TSN feed on Forsbegr's story, Maguire reporting that its down to a two team race: Got it from CDC of all places.
http://broadband.tsn.ca/tsn/?vid=31358

add that with Burke confirming FOrsberg denied him now too. One would assume Forsberg made his second wave of cuts. - Spectors
http://www.latimes.com/sports/hockey/nhl/ducks/la-sp-duckrep12feb12,1,2376810.story

Quote:
Eric Stephens reports Anaheim Ducks GM Brian Burke admitted he'd had interest in Forsberg but was told by his agent that Forsberg had no interest in signing with the Ducks. Burke also dismissed a CBC-TV report on Saturday claiming he was looking at acquiring LA Kings blueliner Rob Blake.

Though Nonis nor Forsberg has never actually confirmed that Van is out( that I've heard/read myself at least) , it makes sense when you toss in Bumpy's theory.

It's official,Krajicek is done for the season.I'm indifferent about it,Except he may have been able to be used as trade material.

No doubt in my mind he played his last game as a Canuck. Not a knock on him , I liked him in his role and respect the punishment he took ( Stortini last season , Bertuzzi'd him) but do the math , there's 6 guys ahead of him in priority. He would have decent trade value , he's still young ( 25 yrs old) down for one more year at 1.1m and a RFA.
