That exclamation mark is just part of Yahoo!'s name, I'm not trying to convey excitement. Smile

Rejected!

But according to the MS website, there may be plans to upgrade "friendly offer" to "hostile takeover" Laughing

It was already semi-hostile to begin with, of course, since it was unsolicited and, apparently, not good enough.

I should probably shut up now, though, because my firm is representing Yahoo!...! (Which was not yet the case when I started the thread).

That's what I was thinking too!

I had been working at Chapters head office for 4 years prior to the VERY hostile takeover by Indigo. Thankfully I got into the goverment 2 months before the whole thing went down. Everyone who I worked with was fired within the first week. It was ugly.

My shares in Chapters - which hit a high of $36, went right down the toilet to about $3. Thankfully, I had cashed them out the year before at $36 to buy my house - or I would have lost a lot of money.
