need to shoot an E-mail off to the Ice Dogs and tell them to get on it.
Would rather have the 30lbs I lost back for an event like this as speed really does seem secondary. _________________ psssssssssssssshhh....bing bong ping bong bing bong...pssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh. |

Me: "We're going to have to break out the Vaughns and McMartins".
Mike: "Oh yeah, definitely using the old, shorter pads".
Me: "I'm going to need a skate sharpening. Hell, I should just wear my player skates"
I also said that we have to get tickets for our parents, but they're on vacation
Shameless exploitation of goalies. This is going to be awesome! _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

That's what I was thinking too. They're moving pretty fast. Probably not in goalie skates? At least my older bro and I could wear our player skates, my younger bro is screwed
I'm sure we'll get the helmets and gloves off at some point for some scraps. It's supposed to be 2 full laps, like it's not going to take the whole intermission for us to do that _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Oh gad yeah. My older bro's fiance is going to be taping it
I still haven't sharpened my skates like that. I tried my younger bro(or maybe it was the goalie on my intramural team) with a sharpen like that and I hated it. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Come on Hounsy. Goalies are the best skaters on the team. I did power skating in full goalie gear till I was 18. I bet they are tenders. I ve never seen a forward skate that well in goalie gear. Forwards completly suck at skating in goalie equipment as far as I've seen. Like they have 2 left feet. |

Our Dad put the three of us in it for one year and we hated him for it. Worst hockey experience I've ever had. A full week and saw pucks for 10 minutes on the last day.
I will never understand this country's obsession with pure skating drills. Yes, the vast amount of skating that you will do is without the puck. Put a puck on their stick and handling the puck at full speeds becomes second-nature. When you don't have it, you'll still be going full speed but once you get it you'll be able to do everything at full speed. Goalies should be doing skating drills with pucks too. My Dad always made us do em, even before goalies were handling the puck on a regular basis. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Holy crap, that was the most tiring 3 or 4 minutes of my life. I'll post the video when I get it. Tons of fun
Kingston guy: "You guys goalies?" (We have 4 full sets of equipment with us).
Us: "Yeah"
Frontenac: "Good, we need one".
Bobby Sanguinetti loves to give the puck away. Good skater.
John Hughes is talented as hell, but small. Awesome with the puck and fantastic vision.
Justin Wallingford is huge.
Emmerton was scratched because it was the last game of the season and didn't mean anything. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

From Left: Sarge, Ron Johnston Jr. (aka Jim who works for the Battalion), Mike Johnston(the older one), Tim Johnston(the younger one), Jeff Johnston
The looks on the kids' fases in this is great
The hit of the night, which apparently looks even more awesome on video:

Yeah those bastards still live at home so they pulled out all of the old, smaller gear that I didn't have access to Mike was going to wear the pads that Jim is wearing, but since the original 4th guy backed out he needed the gear. Mike was also wearing an old, tiny C/A and that's the helmet that he uses for ball hockey.
I was thinking of wearing my player skates but decided against it.
Next time we need to demand the flood beforehand. There was no sliding on the chewed to hell ice
We tend to like our Simmons and KOHO gear We've bought nearly 3 full sets of gear and like 10 twigs from Simmons _________________ Bring back the old OTP!
