Another Must Win Rolling Eyes

http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?service=page&page=Preview&gameNumber=873&season=20072008&gameType=2

Actually,With Mitchell back along with Salo and Ohlund,We might actually stand a chance,That is,As long as that sieve Luongo can keep them out of the net Wink

this one has OT/SO written all over it but a typical yawner? the Wild v Canucks "rivalry" has been more entertaining of late.

the good news is the NW has been stumbling along lately , the out of town results have been decent for Vancouver, so much even Edm has put themselves on the radar.

Burrows was masterful vs Lecavalier and Kovalchuk , lets see if he can get Gaborik off his game.

I'll be interested to see if they push Mitchell back into a shutdown pairing role again. I hope not as I wouldn't want him to get re-injured. I suspect they'll have Mitchell / Edler as the main pair against Gaborik / Demitra, with Ohlund / Weaver as the second pairing option. Been liking what I see from Salo / Bourdon and hope they can continue. Minnesota's checking line has also done some damage against Vancouver, so Danrik will have to play a better game of keepaway tonight. I wonder if AV will use RH Shannon with the Twins tonight and put Naslund with Pyatt.

Just win, you bastards...

Backstrom in net for the Wild - after getting pulled against the Grease the other night.

Kim Johnsson returns from the flu to replace Sean "Over The" Hill.

The return of Mitchell should mean the end of Weaver on the PK-praise Jesus--apart from the SO goal Shannon has been less than impressive but if he gets the PP going that's great.

And chalk up another loss to the play of our star goaltender Rolling Eyes
Fucking brutal play by Luongo tonight particularly in the shootout,3 times they shot and 3 times Luongo sits down on his fucking ass,I don't know what's going through his head right now,But I think he's thrown in the towel on the season,I have a feeling his wife is pulling a Pronger on him hoping for a return to the east,Right now with the exception of Burrows,Edler and Bourdon,I say sell the freakin farm,Fuck it,REBUILD,REBUILD,REFUCKINGBUILD!!!! Mad

I hate losing the shoot-out. Especially after the Linden Goal:D . Oh well, still get the loser point and remain 1 point out of playoff position.

That was one crazy game.

Your guys showed a lot of moxie coming back in the third.

I'm not sure how comfortable I am with the Wild needing five goals to beat you guys - doesn't seem like a smart idea with Luongo in goal for you.

I love that the intensity between our teams continues to build though.

Should be fun next week!

I don't think tonight is an indication of either goaltender's play. Crazy bounces deflection and missed assignments. At least two goals on either side that prbably should have been had and one more that probaly should have been picked up by defensive play. I really like the speed combo of Shannon and Raymond I think with Pyatt on that line you'd have some great skill speed and some size to add (if Pyatt could keep up). I scratch my head on scratching Luc and playing McIver I thought the idea was to ice the best team possible. Edler = Good. WHy can't we hire a shoot out coach?

Frankly, I was surprised to see it, too... This team hasn't had very much success when behind in the 2nd intermission, but to come back and earn a point against the Wild - that's something positive at least.

Luongo really hasn't been stealing too many games for us lately; we've been chalking it up to off-ice distractions - he seems to be following a good game with a bad one lately...
