Opened up a really nice lead going into the home stretch. Just the kinda lead that is catchable and will be a crushing defeat when it does happen.

Well sure enough I blew it, or I should say my local Buddy Al blew it for me having a killer week against me last week and rolling over to Tuzer this week.
If Turco gets a shutout today I would still have a shot at a tie if everything else goes right for me today and I would take the time breaker. Watch Turco not even get the start today anyway.

This is bullshit! Masterskaters pulled off 1st place regular season finishes in at least 2 leagues!
(Pffffttt .... he must have read a book or something & had an advantage over us all!)
And to make matters worse, I gambled all the money away I collected for the league ... I really needed that 1st place finish to soften my losses!
Congrats man on another couple of President's trophys!

I realized pretty early I wasn't having much fun with it. I've been in these for a couple years and while I initially like the challenge, the day-to-day stuff I just grew tired of. I guess this is one element of fandom that I'm not that keen on after all. I don't mind straight pools where you pick 'em and just wait until the end to figure out, but something I'm constantly having to adjust... nah, I'd rather just follow actual teams and games.
I won't be in this next year.

Well I enjoyed that. I got stuck with a horrible team from auto draft and had as much injuries as anyone but am pleased I clawed up to 7th place. I propose expanding the playoffs to 8 teams!
My regular keeper league has no add/drop, so I like being able to do that in this league. I'll be back in next year if we do it again, but only if I can make the live draft.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing the Playoffs go to 8 teams next year,Considering it is only a small percentage of the prize money It might get more teams to keep trying late nto the season. |

I also would like 8 playoff teams, but I don't think yahoo permits more than 6, unless the league is bigger?
Man, Fox News gets some of the hottest chicks on that program .... Andrea Tantaros, fine brunette working out of the Republican camp! I mean, not Playboy hot, but damn fine for a chick being interviewed on a news show ....
Anyhow, that would be great to do a keeper league? My understanding of that is the players you draft, you have for the following season as well? (unless they retire of course) .... And maybe w/ a salary cap?

I would love to do a keeper league,The way we do it in football is at the end of each year you are allowed to keep 2 players from each position except QB which is only 1,Than the remaining players are put back into a new draft.You could do the same with goalies in hockey,By doing it this way,You allow all teams to protect their best players while also creating some parity in the league with the redraft of the supporting cast.
The salary cap also sounds interesting as it might create a trade deadline with actual trades 
If you could get this going Butch,than you can count me in for sure |
