Burrows rocks. This guy has an uncanny ability to get into fights with the other teams top players and not draw an instigator. I still cant over him pummeling Ribero and both getting 2 min roughing! lol .. that was heart warming seeing BUrrows get in there for Mitch.

Dont worry dudes , we're too focused on the division title , just make the bloody playoffs. Colorado has some tough injuries , they lost Bret Clark for a long time. NAshville got their lunch fed to them by the team Van beat and Cgy is stumbling along hot and cold. Canucks have 6/8 pts in the last 4 games. Big game tomorrow with the surging Oil.

Yeah,Burrows has been my favorite Canuck for sometime now,The best part about him is Along with his Agitator/Grinder role,He is starting to bring an offensive element with his game as well,Give me 10 more just like him Cool

Fucking brutal play by Luongo tonight particularly in the shootout,3 times they shot and 3 times Luongo sits down on his fucking ass,I don't know what's going through his head right now,But I think he's thrown in the towel on the season,I have a feeling his wife is pulling a Pronger on him hoping for a return to the east,Right now with the exception of Burrows,Edler and Bourdon,I say sell the freakin farm,Fuck it,REBUILD,REBUILD,REFUCKINGBUILD!!!! Mad
I am sick of watching this team score 4 goals & lose.Oh wait this season it's only happened twice. When scoring 4 goals Vancouver is 8-2.The problem is they have only scored 4 or more goals 15 times so far this season & while Luongo is still a great goalie he is struggling at the worst possible time.

Actually dude,I stopped worrying about the Division title about 9 or 10 games ago and just getting into the playoffs is exactly what I am worried about now Laughing It just seems that whenever this team creates offence that we have no defence and whenever we have defence we have no offence and now of all times,When we have both offence and defence,We have no freakin' goaltending (emoticon of steam coming out my ears while I'm pulling my freakin' hair out)It is pretty frustrating being a Nuck fan right now,Unfortunately my religion of Nucklism frowns upon divorce,So I am stuck here, like it or not Mad

I have stopped betting on or against the Canucks as I can no longer gauge their schizophrenia. The sharks are a nightmare on home ice 1 game over 500 & should only be bet as a road dog.I watch all but the PPV Canucks games, but man I just can't part with the cash while they remain erratic.
If the Canucks fail to make the playoffs should AV be fired?

Pretty harsh given the bandaid defense they've played with most of the year but I guess they should think about it.

IMO,It is not the bandaid defence that makes me think that way,It's the awful offensive play,Not only has Nonis failed to address the problem of landing a top six forward but it seems that even if he does,It seems AV has no idea how to make an offence work,I really think that the offence we have right now could be a lot better if AV had any offensive ideals whatsoever. All you have to do is watch our breakout patterns,Healthy D or not,It is so easy to defend against,All the oppositon has to do is stand against the boards and stop the puck at the point,Everybody knows that the Canucks can't by any means carry or pass the puck out of their own zone,Than if by some chance they manage to recover the puck in the neutral zone they just chip it in past the forwards at the opposition blueline and chase.IMO We have so much young talent that hasn't been realized because AV refuses to implement any simple passing plays or crossovers at the blueline to maximize the skills that guys like Raymond,Naslund and even Shannon have at their disposal,I am so sick of watching Raymond burn up the wing only to stop at the blueline to chip it in.
Let the kids play a little for crying out loud AV,You just might be surprised at how much offence we really have.

No way should they be fired this year but wait until after a year of UFa signings with some weight. Big off season coming up for Nuxville and to let these guys go before they have a chance to really put their whole team together is nutbar. I think Nonis has done a pretty good job considering the tools he had to work with when he took over.

You're probably right Kylos,I just get sick and tired of seeing absolutely no offensive creativity,It's kind of like watching that movie Groundhog Day,Same predictable crap every game,And when you're not winning,It just becomes monotonous.

Listen the CAnucks top 6 Defense is probably the best in the league when healthy (which hey we all kmow) Our top six forwards after the twins is questionable at best. We have no consistency from Nazzy or Pyatt really and good players are supposed to make the player around them better which we haven't seen from these two. I ask the question when Pyatt was playing really well around Christmas was it because he was playing well or benefitting from the work of Raymond and Jaffray? Cause as soon as he was moved off that line and up with the twins he wasn't looking quite as good! AV has a system that works well when our top players especially our D and Luongo are at the top of their game last year he takes a team nobody expects to make the playoffs to the second round good enough for me. THis year there's expectation and we get typical Canuck effort. We need our leader to lead or get off the fucking bus! We need all of our top defnsemen back at at least 80%. We need to layoff Luongo cause he's only one guy and a human being can only take so much! Mostly we need support for the twins and with approx 12 million extra in cap space next year I expect to see! That's 3 Robert Langs.

You say we need our leader to lead or get of the bus,Than you say we need to lay off Luongo Confused IMO There is no way Luongo gets a pass,If he doesn't perform than he is no different than Naslund,Paid too much for too little,You can't blame the D for Luongos play of late,He has just plain underperformed. As far as Naslund goes,I think he is as much a victim of AV's coaching system as anything,I'd put a pretty good chunk of cash down that says if Naslund were in Pittsburgh,Ottawa,Detroit or even Washington that he would very likely be on pace for 90 or more points this yearJust like I would lay down the same chunk of change to say that any superstar that comes to Vancouver would likely see a significant reduction in his production,I know I have blasted Nazzy in the past but I am starting to realize that maybe our problem lies as much with the coaching system as it does with the players.jmho Cool

They're good, but...

Niedermeyer, Pronger, Schneider, Beauchemin, O'Donnell, and who cares is better. Just saying. Wink

Hey Kylos,
This is the pipe dream the fans tell themselves---Name some players you believe the Nux should go after.

Some of the players available for the holes the nux have,

Jason Williams #29 W/C chi
David Vyborny #9 RW/C clb
Radim Vrbata #17 RW/LW pho
Michael Ryder #73 RW mon
Trent Hunter #7 RW nyi
Jaromir Jagr #68 RW nyr
Wade Redden #6 D ott
Vaclav Prospal #20 LW/C tb

If the nux let Naslund, Mo & Cooke walk---they have money but will have many holes.
The UFA pool is shrinking & by July 1st there might not be that much left & 29 other teams are also shopping.I am not sure about Nonis getting fired but if they miss the playoffs AV has to go.He has mismanaged the talent he does have & imo shows a lack of offensive creativity-short of
playing byron ritchie in every possible offensive role--
Just my opinion.
