Um hey wow.......why?
Aerosmith is ok, I suppose I wouldn't mind rocking out to a few more tunes on GH.
I certainly enjoyed Playing Gimme Shelter on Rock Band. But that's the Stones.........not..........Aerosmith...............hmmmm.
Frankly I think the downloads are where its at......that's why I am eyeing a PS3...fuck Microsoft and that gay ass Xbox Live. _________________

I was just looking at RockBand's downloadable content and it blows away GH. _________________

Rockband for 360 > Rockband for PS3.
PS3 has some issues with using the guitar controllers from Guitar Hero. Because you can't just buy a guitar yet you can't have a guitarist and a bassist on the PS3 version. _________________

Yet oddly enough, the PS2 version seems to have no issues like that. And supposedly the controllers for the PS2 will work for the PS3...
I need a flatscreen before a PS3 or 360... hence why I'm still on the PS2. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. I should speak to her. But what the hell can I say? Anything that doesn't mention that I masturbate over her memory is probably a good idea."

Do you have the broadband adapter for PS2? Can you download Ride the lightning and the weekly releases for Rock Band? If you can....then I will run out and get a network adapter for the PS2 and buy Rock Band.
It just doesn't make sense to me to buy Rock Band for PS2 when the bread and butter is in the online downloadable content. _________________

I am also not a big fan of Xbox Live. I have a feeling PS3 pulls ahead of Xbox this year or early next year. _________________

I have yet to grab a PS3. Not enough games I want to warrant dishing out that much cash. _________________

It's no secret I don't know shit about GH or real guitar, but I've heard from many of my musician friends that Joe Perry is a crap guitarist. Funny they would make an entire GH for Aerosmith.
I hope one of these days they do a real Rock Star, not just the instruments but the whole damned lifestyle, complete with heroin needle and coke cutter controllers as well as blow-up doll groupies with electronic STDs.
Sorry, don't know why I said that... |

No, don't have a broadband adapter. And I guess I should clarify... my roommate bought the game. I don't know why he did when the plan is to upgrade later this year, but whatever. I'm having fun playing the drums every couple days or so.
I don't dig the feel of their guitar, though. Probably just used to the GH ones.
Yeah, the first time I played it was on a 360, and just seeing all that downloadable content made me salivate. Having the PS2 version with 58 songs isn't horrible, but after just seeing the possibilities of the game on one of the new systems... it's just GH for drums for me. That's about the only appeal. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. I should speak to her. But what the hell can I say? Downloadable content is amazing. Except when the downloadable content section on the PC version has said "Downloads coming soon!" since the game was released in November _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Thanks Bruce... I just wanted to make sure I wasn't holding out for no reason at all. I do love plugging away at Gimme Shelter.
About the RB guitar....I noticed that there were repetitive buttons at the bottom of the neck as well as the top. There also seemed to be a ridge between the buttons.....it was odd to play it but yet felt somewhat better than the usual gh guitar. Buttons didn't require so much tough love to push and were certainly more responsive and easier to transition across. _________________

Yeah, I didn't have a problem with the buttons, but the "strings/strummer" I didn't much care for the feel of. That second set of buttons is an option for solos... and you can do all those notes by just doing pull-offs and not strumming. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. See...and I am a strummer...and definitely have issues mastering the up and down technique and I am an amateur with the hammer on and pull offs.
I like to strum! _________________

new reports indicate that they will be introducing a mic and drums into this installment of GH ala Rock Band. _________________
