The Oilers have been hot lately and are trying to make a run at a playoff spot.IMO this does not bode well for an unmotivated Canucks club which has quite frankly played uninspired hockey for pretty much all of 2008.
If these Nucks of ours want to make the playoffs this year than they better start by Shutting these Oilers THE FUCK DOWN Evil or Very Mad

Get this shit done Nucklies!!!

Terrific game... 5'9" Weaver was a revelation - not only did he play well, he showed that he was a Noble Warrior® going up against 6' 1" Glencross and nearly beating him!

Somebody get that man a ladder... Laughing

Cooke with more questionable hits; Burrows again playing above his paygrade; Mitchell and Luongo shutting down the Oilers in the third; Bourdon looking like a seasoned 31-year-old vet and not a 21 -year-old rookie by keeping the puck off the goal-line - legally; Ritchie all over the ice...

On the other side, that fourth line of the Oilers looks like one of the best ones in the league... Mad Man, I'd love it if Isbister/Pyatt played with as much grit as Stortini et al. Stortini was a beast. Hemsky looked like he had jets but just couldn't get away from Kesler/Burrows.

The whole team looked good for a change! Everyone had jump and too much energy. Way to go for Weaver holding his own as one of the smaller guys on the ice. In a game with that many hits and fights I thought the only questionable ones came from Stortini and Cooke. A drag that they couldn't pin BXA into a firm date of his return but sounds like pretty soon. THe question is can we continue playing at this level and getting points out of every game!

I was thinking a few months ago , the Sens and Sabres had a brawl last year to bond their teams and in '94 , the Canucks and Rangers had a nasty game vs each other in the reg season coincidentally , I was thinking the Canucks need something like that. This team needed a game like that.

How does Steve Staios get away with only 2 min for roughing in that last scrum? First off , 5 min for slashing after the goal , then its third man in , and a sucker punch on Burrows. I guess PIM luck ran out there.

That was a great character game , tons of fun. The very last brawl , they showed Mitch and Linden , they didnt show Luc Bourdon and Ztortini.

Bieksa and a healthy Cowan would've partied like its 1999 in this game.

Great emotional entertainment.

You obviously never saw the game last night,He must of had 10-15 hard body checks,He was crashing the crease and besides Naslund was the most noticeable player on the ice,After that performance I would have him on my team anyday.jmo

Giving guys their dues when they deserve it.

Along with The Weave showing up and taking big hits. Brad Isbister showed up twice , once for his teammate. He battled and hustled hard.

I really hope Nonis dumps Cooke , I find him to be so useless for this current team and just a bad fit. I hope he's a deadline dump.

The Canucks took a page out of Anahiem's book , they've had all the players dads in town for the Edm game and flew them out for the Minny game too. Cool idea.

Apparently the CBA only allows you to do this with one guest per year. Minny did one with the dads last year and the moms this year. Montreal put in a request to have them bring their families (wifes, girlfriends, and kids) with after Christmas but were denied.
