Well, I'm sure we'll hear plenty of boos tonight for the local Ottawa area boy.

This is a big game... 4 points separate the two teams in 5th and 6th in the East and they go back at it tomorrow night in Philly. Both teams have struggled recently, Philly much moreso with a Detroit-esque 5 game slide.

Watch your ankle, Alex.

Carey.... WOW. That 5-on-3 for 1:53.... 10 saves. Ridiculous. Outshot 15-3 in the 3rd, but if it wasn't for that 10 shot 5 on 3, the Habs didn't just let Philly come at them and rely on Price. It was just a case of a really, really good goalie taking control by relying on his instincts. It was beautiful.

First career shutout, and earned it with every save. Even that one that was likely in the net thanks to Philly pushing him in. Laughing

1-0 wins... they are hard on the heart.

I caught the 5-on-3 and that's about it. Glad we didn't blow it after that impressive showing. Perhaps the start of Price taking the job from Huet?

Frankie Bouillon had his best game in weeks, and it happens to coincide with the return of Hammer.

Can you imagine where this team would be if we hadn't signed Roman? Perish the thought.

Thanks to HNIC it was another T.O. game for me. How in hell the ruins could let this game slip away.

Anyways, too bad I couldn't witness Carey's first shutout.

On the Cbc website - www.cbc.ca

under sports, they stream all the games they are broadcasting live. The habs game was on...

Laughing

Well, I remember I was against it because of his knee injuries. I also remember I didn't like the idea of resigning of Souray and Bonk and I was undecided on Smolinski.

thank you mr. harper.

ot: expect over 200 funding announcements over the next two weeks with 50% of them in Quebec...

someone with the integrity of the reform party would never try to buy an election though...

We sweep the Flyers 4-0 in the season series.

This weekend was a major statement to the NHL, and if Ryder continues to play like he did tonight, this team may have the internal solution needed in order to have 2 quality scoring lines. He was hitting, fighting along the boards, and had two one-timers that could have easily been goals.

Gorges had a great game, ditto Lapierre and Begin.

Scotty Hartnell had 3 minor penalties that absolutely killed the momentum of the Flyers.

I am worried that teams are putting more pressure on our D on the PP and we aren't adapting. There was so much room down low but Streit and Hammer had a miserable time giving them the puck.

I hope Huet gets another chance to prove himself, but it's looking more and more like we're counting on Price.
