With Lidstrom out for up to 3 weeks, along with Rafalski and Kronwall on the mend, the Wings recalled Jonathan Ericsson.

I hope I'll be able to see him play a few games. He's risen pretty quickly on our prospect depth chart since coming to NA last season and looks like another potential late-round steal at 291st overall in the '02 draft. He's huge at 6'5, 202 and played in the AHL all-star game this year. Hopefully he has or develops a mean streak pretty quickly 
If Lidstrom, Kronwall and Rafalski are all out, we'll have 4 D playing who are 26 years of age or younger in Lebda(26, undrafted), Meech(23, 229 overall in 02), Quincey(22, 132 overall in 03), and Ericsson(23, 291 overall in 02). That's gotta be the youngest D corps we've dressed in a while.

Of course, thanks to Chelios, the average age of their D probably is still the highest in the NHL.

Yup I thought about that too. Youngest in terms of number, but not average
