With how wide open the Eastern Conference is... we could very well get to the Finals. In a 7 game series, I think we can beat almost every Eastern playoff team. If someone else can knock off the Sens for us... I seriously don't think it's a stretch to see us come out on top in the East. As for who makes it out of the West, no doubt that'll be a much more difficult matchup... but it's worth a shot, IMO.
The deadline is a chance to clearly seperate us from the pack that is in a playoff spot. This year is a great opportunity...

Don`t forget Pittsburgh. IMHO the Habs are one year away from doing damage in the playoffs.
Anyway, Montreal has done a huge step forward this year and all in all I like what I see. |

He had a press conference where he mainly talked about his number being retired tomorrow, plus fielded some general questions about the team and the deadline. No trade announcement.

Oh heavens, Bob Gainey must have had another ear surgically implanted to his head. According to the GTA/Southern Ontario media, the Habs have their fingers dipped in the Hossa, Jokinen, Tanguay, Fedorov and Dan Boyle pies. Depending on who you ask, we're the faves to add all of them. 
Precisely why they'll get Brad Richards. Gainey is that good.
