Posted this as well in the Flames forum to see if Harmy, Saddle Up or DH saw this game...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Both teams were wearing #18 on their lids for obvious reasons last night...
The only goal was a shitter, a misplay by Quincey that Tanguay put off of 2 guys and in...
Chelios got hurt after 3 minutes of ice time. That's our entire top-4 and Hasek out now. Kopecky got hurt too, not sure if he left or finished. Downey was woozy after a hit, but tsn said that he didn't miss a shift.
Lilja and Ledba...26 minutes of ice each. That's scary...Ericsson played 22 in his NHL debut.
Despite the fact that our back end is killed right now, we outshot them 38-26. Kipper made some great saves according to highlights... _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Both teams played a good game. The Red Wing's young defense corp. played as well as could be expected. I have no problem with this loss. The effort was there and we have so many injuries. Kiprusoff was the difference.
Downey and Kopecky are fine. The hit on Kopecky by Phanuef was as dirty a hit as I've seen in a while. Downey should have called him out. _________________ "The greatest victory a man can win is victory over himself."

I wouldn't have been surprised if he did and Dion wouldn't drop them. Dion is pretty selective about who he'll drop the mitts with, and often he won't answer the bell after he's taken a run at someone or laid a borderline hit. That's one aspect of his game that really pisses me off. Yeah, he's more valuable on the ice than off of it for 5 minutes, especially considering how close this game was, but if you're going to pull that shit, be a man and be accountable.
How did Jonathan Ericsson look, Skip? _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

A little nervous being on the ice for his first NHL game but he was solid. It was a worthy first effort. He looked more comfortable against Vancouver Saturday night. He looks like a keeper. _________________ "The greatest victory a man can win is victory over himself."
