TB was looking for a goalie - I wasn't expecting him to play for the Nucks.

Richards is Plan A. I don't think we're getting him, though...
Plan B is OJ. I think his price will continue to go up the closer we get to the deadline; the other risk here is FL doesn't have to deal him at all...
Havlat is Plan C. Would replace Naslund, only more injury-prone. Mad

It's been suggested that the Dallas' offer is Mike Smith, Mark Fistric and Jeff Halpern. Halpern is okay, but I don't know that Mark Fistric or Mike Smith are guys that can contribute in the future; of course, the same can be said of Vancouver's offer, if indeed it is for Bourdon, Schneider, Grabner and a pick. DN needs to up the ante somehow... Mad

Good article about the entire roster and who may be available.

Screw Richards,I already hate the first offer,Richards may be great but this is the first time I can remember Vancouver having decent prospects and a strong looking future,He better be Gretzky if we are giving up all of our young talent,Talk to the Blackhawks is all I can say.jmho

Well, fuck, that was disappointing... But hardly the end of the world.

I imagine the price for OJ just went up, and FL isn't under any pressure to trade him. I can't see DN being interested in Hossa, or Havlat, but Lang might be a good rental; however, DN has already stated he's not in favor of rentals...

I wanted Tuomo... I feel that may have been a missed opportunity.

seeing that Marty Lapointe went for a 6th rd pick Cooke would bring in a 7th? , Ill take Pettinger in this scenario.

Pettinger scored 16 goals last season and 20 the season before. He's not liked by Bruce Boudreau in Washington according to the talking heads on Sportsnet. Pettinger is listed at 6'1" and 205 lb but isn't a big PIM man. Cooke is listed at 5'11" and 205 lb but that's probably with his equipment on. Still, Pettinger's numbers and size are eerily similar to Jan Bulis's and is another left winger on a team that needs centers and right wingers. Unless he has something else cooking, I don't see how Nonis has improved the Canucks.

I don't mind Modin at the right price, but Havlat? He's so injury prone at $6M...[/list]

Apparently the Canucks are done trading & if that's the case i'm stunned.
Great another 3rd line LW on a team needing a RW & centre!!!
I am glad Cooke's gone but...

WTF

There are like 5 sellers vs. 25 buyers, or thereabouts. Nonis can't make anything happen on his own, and I didn't really expect much. I certainly didn't want the Canucks trading their first rounder for the Adam Feete of the world. I'm not a huge fan of the one deal he did make, though.
