Didn't see this one coming...
I'm guessing that the Caps will try to lock him up for a while. Kolzig retires? _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Just a hunch... Gainey must've been pissed off by Huet changing his name pronunciation.
And yeah, it's the end for Olaf. _________________ It's backwards time. |

Don't be surprised if Halpern gets shipped to Montreal...possibly for a certain 2nd rounder. No guarantee, but the pieces seem to fit. _________________ Beat my drum down in Mexico! To Tijuana, Tijuana here we go!

washington fans weren't pleased with his performance this year. but he's olie the goalie. he did a good job in washington over his career. he'll take care of his child now. always liked his accent when he tried to speak german. |

Can't access NHLNumbers.com right now (too busy), but Halpern is signed for the next 3 years I believe. Doesn't seem worth it at all. _________________ It's backwards time. |

That's what I think is happening. He's a capable backup and if it came down to it he had a great playoff run with the Pens - remember Moose mania? |

| Washington's 2nd rounder is going to be not too far down the draft order from Montreal's 1st round pick in a deep draft. Gainey's getting ready to move his first, probably for Hossa. |

I stand corrected. I didn't realize Gainey had moved his first rounder this year to the Ducks. |

Yeah, what's up with his insistence both in L.A. and now in Montreal to pronounce it "Hewitt?" Even most Americans would rather pronounce it the proper French way. |

Halak seems to have options on pronunciation as well. _________________ Lang may yer lum reek! |
