I don't care how injured we are. If we can't beat this team, it's beyond pathetic.
Mikael Samuelsson might have the least hockey sense in the NHL. It's unbelievable how many times this guy will attempt dinky little goddam flip passes off the boards to the far defensemen and have them blocked. Every freakin power play. Once we get our defense back, he better not see another minute of PP time. Awful, awful puck sense. Seeing him on a more regular basis this season, I can't believe that he actually has the number of points that he has as a member of this team.
Osgood just absolutely robbed Hemsky.

Man it's nice to have a huge guy on the back end who can skate in Ericsson after losing Jiri  He probably won't even be in Detroit come playoff time, but it's still nice...

Samuelsson attemps to mimick Lidstrom walking the blue line and actually doesn't give it away for a shorthanded goal!

Another dumbass play by Samuelsson at the point on the PP.
Detroit then gets in, Flippula sets up Ericsson for the one-timer which he pounds in. Might have hit Grebeshkov in front.
Sameulsson has 8 shots on net. Every single one is probably from the side boards, the goalie with a clear view of the puck, and with an open passing lane to a man in a better position for a shot.

Good shift there by Samuelsson.
Meech is looking better than Lebda right now. Lebda has amazing wheels, but Meech looks like he has better instincts in the offensive zone. Don't know what to say about their play in their own zone. Lebda is cheap but if this keeps up we might have to see what we can get for him in the offseason.

Samuelsson made a good play to draw the guy up and thankfully got it to Datsyuk before the guy could get close enough to intercept.

Oil aren't the most talented team but they really work hard. They forecheck the hell out of you. Not good when we've got a young D without a lot of NHL experience.

Nice saucer from Gagner to Cogliano on the 2-on-1 but Ozzy reads it perfectly and makes the sliding butterfly stop.
Meech is great at giving the forwards on the right side an open passing lane to the far side. It's even better on the PP when it opens up a bit. Unfortunately his shot there was blocked and led to the 2 on 1.

It rolled on him, but man. Just put it off the boards. One of our guys was there. You didn't have to try to get it so high
