the rumoured deal FLA wanted for OJ was:
Kesler
Edler
1st rd pick
no stories on what Nonis was offering.
.... Im usually a guy who likes to wheel and deal and is a big fan of OJ but I dont blame Nonis for passing on that one. |

| Jokinen has proven he's a great talent in his own right, but he has yet to prove he's the kind of player who makes others around him better. So far he's Pavel Bure II for the Panthros...a guy who puts up a lot of pretty numbers on a lousy team. I agree, I would've passed on that deal too. |

As for what was offered for Richards, take it for what it's worth:
| Iain MacIntyre wrote: |
A source with insider knowledge of the sweepstakes for Richards said Monday that Nonis had offered the Lightning rookie Mason Raymond and prospects Luc Bourdon and Cory Schneider, although the Canuck boss insisted Tuesday that none of his best young players - Raymond, Alex Edler and Ryan Kesler - was ever put up for trade.
Tampa general manager Jay Feaster traded Richards to Dallas for backup goalie Mike Smith and third-line forwards Jussi Jokinen and Jeff Halpern.
"We put packages out there that in our mind, and I think in a lot of people's minds, were superior to the packages that were accepted," Nonis said. |

well , it would had been nice to add a stud player but life goes on. Fine by me caz Bourdon and Raymonds' value are only rising. Shcnieder's value was low to begin with so hopefully his stock will rise again.
and lets hope these "other people" are scouts or GMs for other teams!lol |

apparently FLA was asking a for little more(more picks or prospect) with that package.
You can see why darryl Sutter got the F out of those trade talks |

I can confirm this about Luvah -- he once offered me two-thirds of his Out of This World DVD collection in return for my biography of Lance Ito. _________________

holy cripes!!!, is that the show with the girl with the alien dad who can stop time ?!?
Can I admit I was addicted to the OJ trial on tv. COincidentally , the whole OJ murder/white bronco chase happened right after the 94 finals. |

It's worse than I thought ---Cooke only got traded because he asked for a trade---
Hey Av-American between the kings clb, chi, stl & tor,fla & tb there was no deal to be made for 1 fwd.
He couldn't have outbid philly for Prospal? what does it take to land Bochenski? a right handed shot who was worth a look on a team desperate for offence- would certainly be worth a 7th ?
Had Cooke not asked for a trade Nonis would have had accomplished nothing. _________________ Mark my words Nonis is a mediocre GM-
I called for his head 07/08
fired apr 14th/08

While I would have liked Bochenski for a small return, let's face it, the Internet pundits would be all over Nonis for that one anyway -- "That's the best he can do?!?! He suxxx!" _________________

Sure; but in that one game, he managed to outscore the entire team against Colorado. _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

| Bochenski put on 20 pounds of muscle this offseason, showed up slow as a slug, and had to work it all off to get into game shape. He would have been worse than Vadim Sharifjanov... |

Tampa Bay wanted Edler, Kesler, Raymond, plus The canucks 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick for Richards!!
When the Canucks offered them their top 3 picks, as well as Schneider and Bourdon
while Martin wanted the Sedins for Olli
