fuck that |
That makes no sense at all considering what Richards actually got traded for. _________________ It's backwards time. |

| I heard that on PRatt and Taylor and simply thought well that's good PR by the Nux. Even if they hadn't wanted the picks that's ridiculous! As if Mike Smith is worth that much more if at all. |

Yeah,To think they could have taken the Nucks offer and than shipped a pick to Montreal for Huet Dummies. |

| To be fair, not all GM's know what every other GM is doing at a point in time, even on deadline day. And you certainly wouldn't have figured Montreal to move Huet... |

You're right,But to be fair,They were in the market for a goalie so if they didn't know which goalies were or might be available than their scouts didn't do their damn job! |

That would have been pointless, with Huet as an unrestricted free agent this summer, though. They aren't going to make the playoffs this year, they wanted a goalie going forward. _________________

That doesn't mean he's unsignable,Lots of teams trading their assets allow the other teams to talk with their players,I'm just sayin |

Don't look now but the damned Stars are 2-6 since acquiring Richards, and 1-6 in March. Suddenly, I don't feel so bad about missing out on those sweepstakes; can you imagine if this team tanked like that down the stretch? _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

How about this for wishful thinking: given the turn of events not just with this club but with Ottawa, too, wouldn't it be nice to make some major offseason trades with Ottawa?
Not that we'd have much beyond Luongo that they'd want... _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

It is true that banana republics tend to only trade with each other, if at all. _________________ It's backwards time. |

It happens all the time... Bertuzzi, Auld, and Allen to Florida for Luongo and Krajicek. Before that, it was Trevor Linden to the Isles for Bertuzzi, McCabe and Ruutu. _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

I was more referring to Venenzuela and Nicaragua, but hey... _________________ It's backwards time. |

anybody read Strachan's little proposal.. Luongo for Spezza
I assume most Canucks fans here would say no to that straight up but how about Heatly straight up? or would you trade Luongo for a SPezza package?
*edit let me ask what 1040 Team is asking... would you trade Luongo?
as of right now.. there are ZERO untouchables/unthinkables. |

| Pratt is ridiculous on this particular topic, he calls me and my peeps pinheads for wanting to trade the Sedins but is discussing how trading Luongo could be a good thing. Im not saying thats wrong , just saying he was calling me out as a pinhead for suggesting the EXACT same thing with the Sedins. |

Trading Luongo wouldn't be unthinkable to me but Spezza or even Heatley wouldn't be worth it in my opinion,Neither of these 2 have done anything in the playoffs and that makes me question their drive.I would much rather see them go after a Lecavalier or a Malkin if they consider going this route.I have a gut feeling that they are going to go after both Demitra and Hossa as a package in the offseason though so I think Louie will be sticking around for at least one more year |
