What purpose did breaking this news story serve other than put his platoon in danger, remove him from being a resource to the British armed forces and therefore wasting the money spent on training him? ...and making a few bucks for Drudge.

Yet it was only one that broke the story, the rest voluntarily chose to keep it a secret.
I guess as a lawyer you have to find another group to just paint with the same villainous brush, huh?

You should know better razz...don't generalize the press because of one stupid fuck, we shouldn't do the same to lawyers (even though we do oftentimes)...
Let me make one thing clear here. Drudge was not, is not, and WILL NEVER be anything resembling a journalist. He was a private investigator with a big mouth who rode the coattails of the Lewinsky scandal and used it as a platform to espouse his backward, reactionary views. He is indeed scum and a parasite, but a newsman he is most definitely not. |

It raises an interesting point. What is the line between freedom of the press and the rights of the individual - especially those in "authority" or the public eye? Harry was just doing his duty and if he was any other guy - he'd be left alone. I know the thought of the press censoring information is heinous, but how was the public interest served in breaking this story? This doesn't seem to be Woodward and Bernstein material.
