Datsyuk gets a couple, Rafalski gets a goal and a fight, and the Blues acted like a bunch of tools. Not much much else to report for this one.

The Blues love to try to cycle the puck and then never try get shots on net.

That, and getting wingers to play on the side opposite their stick hand are two things Andy Murray positively LOVE to do...

A nice game for Detroit. Total defensive domination. The defense is starting to return to form. The past month has been a glimpse at life in Detroit hockey without Lidstrom.

There was a long period where Loo had the Wings pinned in their own zone. Detroit got it out, got a change in, but then got pinned in again and were forced to ice it. It got a little hectic there but Detroit rode it out and I don't remember them getting a penalty during that.

It's been a glimpse at life without a bunch of people Laughing

St. Loo moved the puck around a lot in our defensive zone but wasn't getting many shots on goal really. Lot's of pressure but the Wings were blocking shots right and left. I was impressed. I have not been overly concerned with the last month or so about the Wings recent slide. I'm just glad we had all the adversity in Fenruary, not during the playoffs, which is our usual time to have an adversity fart and get beat by an 8th seed in the first round. Scotty Bowman always said that a team must face adversity to become a great team. We needed this. It was going too easily. Now we are getting back our injured players and we can use the last month as a tune up. I also like that we'll be playing the Central Division almost exclusively because they have been hard on us this year. A very good tune up for the playoffs.
