And hey it wasn't me who suggested it. It was a...............HABS fan.

Nolan could be worth some consideration as well. As could JR.
But yeah, nothing says perseverance and dedication like playing in the minors and Europe until you're in your 30's, and then making the All-Star team at 33. |

Not a fan of Ghetto Glenn, Sask?
Seeing him play this year, especially live, I've become one _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |

Nah, just the wrong choice. Metro's had plenty of chances before, and hasn't played in the AHL for years. The fact is, he's done "well" in filling in on the second line, but 11 goals and 30 assists or whatever it is isn't like he's all of a sudden a legit scorer. Timmay was still willing to play in the bus leagues and wait for the right break. I just like Timmay's story better... he's an All-Star because of his dedication and perseverance... Metro just has a job for another year. _________________ It's backwards time. |

I see your point, but in a way you could say Glenn's overcome more
He was pretty much out of hockey when he got this chance
Thomas has always been good, he was just never in the teams plans for some odd reason - they were always grooming some new vunderkid (Waysoft, Tofu, now Rask)
Seeing as how Thomas became the starter LAST season, a nomination at this point would be for last season's accomplishments, wouldn't it?
I've always been a fan of Timmay, but I'm impressed my the way Metro plays every shift as if it could be his last. It's not about how many points he has or hasn't scored, he's become a vital part of his team _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |

I guess you could say last year they didn't have the balls to choose Thomas. _________________ It's backwards time. |

| Besides, Thomas is winning the Vezina so there's a need to spread the hardware around. And like Hip says, Metro is the better choice for this year given the circumstances... |
