at Yankee Stadium?
I don't know how I feel about this being the last thing that happens at the Stadium.

NEW YORK (AFP) — Yankee Stadium, the historic 85-year-old home of baseball's legendary New York Yankees, appears set for a rare outdoor National Hockey League game as its farewell event in late 2008 or early 2009.
The New York Daily News reported Monday that a deal is moving closer that would have the "House That Babe Ruth Built" closed with a home game of the New York Rangers, with the Yankees "completely on board" with the idea.
"It's something we've spoken both to the Yankees and to the city about," NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly told the newspaper. "But it's not a done deal. There are still other possibilities and a lot of moving pieces."
But Chris Chelios, a Detroit Red Wings defenseman, told the Detroit Free Press that he understands the Red Wings will visit the Rangers for the Yankee Stadium closer and that it is a "done deal." |
