I predict that Jyrki's Regression to the Hockey Mean Theory™ will once again rear its fat, ugly head and the real Anaheim Ducks will finally show up and beat the Canucks 4-1. Selanne, Beauchemin, Weight and Pahlsson, with Isbister replying for Vancouver.
It'll be good to see a Mitchell/Bertuzzi duel once again. _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

You know,I was thinking exactly the same thing at first but I have a hunch the Nucks are going to win for some reason,Maybe it's the play of Burrows and Kesler and actually starting to believe we have secondary scoring or maybe I'm just mentally ill,But I'm gonna predict 4-2 Canucks in this one with D.Sedin getting the winner just cause he's due |

I have Giguere and Luongo in this game. I'm benching them both.
I predict a 1-0 shootout win for someone _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

I like that the law of averages is now named for me.
Let's give Murphy's Law to you... it's now "Linger's Law." _________________

3-0
Well the game isn't over but I think I can find better things to do than invest the emotional energy for the battle. Maybe I'll tune into the third.

4-1 after 2 and the worst thing is that the Nucks have had numerous chances to score yet couldn't fucking bury them We start the third with the PP and if we get one quick than maybe it will be interesting otherwise this one is most likely over |

Not sure if we were watching the same game or not but the Nucks didn't get close... The only time they threatened was in the PP. Sedins blanked yet again. Game in hand over Colorado and Minnesota - blown. Opportunity missed to catch up to Calgary - check.
Back to the drawing bored... _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

I honestly didn't think they played that bad except for the way Luongo looked on the first couple of goals,If he stops the first one than maybe its a different story,Oh well
Nice call on the score by the way Tcl |

I didn't see the Pronger stomp... Kesler's lucky he's ok.
| Quote: |
Kesler, cross-checked from behind by Pronger after scoring earlier this season, appeared to be deliberately stepped on by one of the league's dirtiest players when the Canuck fell at the Duck captain's feet after delivering a check in the second period.
"He stomped on me," Kesler said. "He got me on the calf."
If true -- and it appeared to be -- it was an especially despicable act by Pronger, whose teammate Corey Perry is currently out six weeks after suffering a skate cut to his leg. |
This is the game that I saw:
| Quote: |
"We got down 3-0 early and didn't have a lot of push-back," Canuck coach Alain Vigneault said. "You're going to get behind in this league. You should be able sometimes to come back. But to do that, your best players offensively need to be your best. And our guys weren't very good tonight.
"A lot of times, it's less about skill than going on the ice and competing in those tough areas. We need [the Sedins] to perform, we need them to produce. Py's been 16, 17 games [without scoring] and Nazzy's the same way. Those are our offensive people and we need them to come up big for us." |
Well, there was very little urgency on the forecheck - granted, Scotty Niedermeyer, Beauchemin, and Pronger controlled the shoot-ins very well; still, this was a game that was won and lost in the first period when Luongo got beaten for the first two goals. It was either a terrible read, perhaps due to the ice, or a very unfortunate bounce that led to the first goal... Either way, I don't think he gives up many of these kinds of goals.
I think the lone bright spot for me was the play of BMo; his PP setup on MayRay's goal was a brilliant feed followed by a perfect shot. _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.
