When the "Exceptional player rule" was implimented, allowing Tavares to be chosen first overall by the Oshawa Generals, the first-overall-to-be Logan Couture was so pissed that he threatened to go play NCAA. Ottawa risked their first round pick in the OHL draft and he went on to play for the 67's instead of following through on his threat. Tavares and Couture meet in the first round of the OHL playoffs.

Couture cared so much about being the #1 pick getting drafted into junior? Sounds awfully petty... or did he just much rather live in a far-flung Toronto suburb than the nation's capital? _________________

Ottawa wasn't 2nd overall that year... Couture dropped in the draft because people didn't think they could sign him. _________________ It's backwards time. |
