Mr, Kovalev,

Mr Chara called and he would like his panties back.

Chara and Wideman... How do you like that top 2 pairing? Smile I'm sure Kovalev likes to see that pairing.

Saw the highlights; Thomas looked like he did everything he could to keep them in it. But my goodness those were beauty goals by Kovalev.

Actually, the one good point the TSN fairies made is that the Bruins can't very well expect Chara and Wideman to deal with Kovalev when he's flying at them unmolested from a start 100 feet away.

On his first goal Murray just handed him the puck, and with his acceleration it's a bit unfair to blame the D.

On the second goal he collected the puck basically in his own corner, skated unchallenged through to the D. Again, explain to me what the D are supposed to do there.

I'm not saying they played well - it was a weak game all around for our star players, which is absolutely inexcusable at this time of year - but if anyone is to blame its Timmy for letting in the first one - even Hounsy could have stopped that.

"2 of the most beautiful bad goals you'll ever see"

One of my favorite Kovalev goals, starts at 44 seconds in:

Laughing Yeah, so if the forwards don't so much as touch him, then neither should the Top 2 defencemen? Put a stick between his legs, put a hipcheck on him, DO SOMETHING more than just wave a stick at him! Good lord, just b/c the forwards can't keep up shouldn't be an excuse for not doing your jerb! Yeah really. So who do you blame? I'm not sure, but the last time I checked paying a guy shit loads of money to play D entailed, oh I don't know, playing D.

Not bad for a shit Russian, eh? Looks like those shit Russians were the ones doing the fucking.

And I was wondering, is everyone who's not a Bruin fan gay, homo, fag? Personally, I think that Chara looks like a big, gay horse dick sucker. I'm also pretty sure that Thomas gets his prostate massaged by Kessel's sex machine. Don't even get me started on Wideman...

That's more points than the Bruins have made against the Habs.

That one still makes me smile - though I love watching him score the world cup goal - why do I hate all those american players so much. I think they are a bunch of ass hammers -ca cunk, Cheerioes, Moredummo and the lot. There are good american hockey players I like - just not any of those guys. Asshammers, each and every one.

I'll bump this up for Game 2.

Big test for Montreal. Gorges moves up to the top D pairing in Markov's absence... like E.L. said, it's a low maintenance partner for Markov, so he won't be covering for him, but Markov is going to have to step up physically. O'Byrne would've been a guy Markov would've had to cover for, but he would at least physically (over)match up against the top opponents like Komisarek.

Streit will bring more of a puckmoving element to the D... if the 3rd pairing is indeed Bouillon-O'Byrne, the forwards will have to help out a lot, though O'Byrne is decent in getting to the puck and just putting it off the boards and out.

I'll add this about our D... if we can survive this scare, it'll be a huge boost for the team as a whole when Komisarek gets back.

If we fall behind Ottawa, though, it could be a huge injury as we'd have to go to the 4/5 series.
