As I've been saying in the Vancouver forum -- it's not about "wanting" it. Everybody wants to make the playoffs. But the reality is zero-sum, and about half of the NHL's teams have to miss the playoffs. No matter how much they want it or how much "effort" they're said to give. It's not always someone's fault.
