Deserved the tie, got the W by default. Guess I'll take it. Still don't like the shootout.
Although I was yelling for Markov as the 3rd shooter, and Carbo waited until the 9th before giving him the shoulder tap. Markov rules, when will everyone learn this. He should be the first guy for everything. Best d-man in the Eastern Conference... I used to think it was close, but no, it's not even close.

Markov is the best defenceman in the NHL so far this year. Sure he didn't pick a fight with someone smaller than him and left him a bloody mess, but he's impossible to beat 1-on-1, he's an incredible passer and he pinches better than anyone else.
It should also be noted how Komisarek has become the best shot blocker in the league not named Anton.
All praises aside, they did almost blow the game, and they'll have to figure out how to maintain momentum and shut down faster teams like Pittsburgh. The Buffalo game was a similar case of us having a chance to open a can of whup ass yet they kept it close.
