They were discussing Kyle Beach alot yesterday with Bob Mackenzie and Ray Ferraro. Bob was passing on what scouts were saying and its true he's a wild card because of his "headcase" reputation. Some scouts say he's still a bluechip stud , some wont touch him ... the consensus is he's a homerun or a complete miss.

Ray Ferraro who watches him alot caz of his own kid , I trust his hands on scouting report . He says first off he's a winger and he's a goal scorer but he does have a bad reputation. Ray would draft him middle top 10 still. He likes him more than the other guy I thought would be high on the radar for Nonis, Colin Wilson.

Ironically as I start my 'trade the Sedins campaign' , Beach actually might be the perfect linemate for them down the road.. big tough goal scorer via Clark Gillies.

I thought Beach was ranked way higher than tenth. Headcase? I don't think it's fair aclling any kid under twenty a head case.

If he has event a hint of that reputation, though -- justified or not -- the Canucks will avoid him, though. (Barring a total sea-change in organizational outlook, anyway, but Nonis has reminded me more and more of Burke with time, not less and less).

There seems to be a consensus that Zach Boychuk will be a Canuck when its all said and done. Based nothing more an speculation from fans.

I wonder is Nonis is eyeing anybody in the top 10 to try and move up. I can see NOnis drooling over one of these top D prospects everybody is talking about.

I cant wait to get closer to the draft so I can finally learn more about these kids.

Has anyone heard of Daulton Leveille? He doesn't seem to be in the Top 30 but McKenzie is raving about him... Maybe a high second-round pick?

this draft is gonna be a lot of fun for fans of all teams everyone seems to be active rumors swirling like mad anybody and everybody is trying to deal Gillis is really sitting pretty with number ten there are a tonne of guys who could slip through. How much does the lack of transfer agreements with Europe and Russia impact this years draft? Or for that matter players already drafted? This should be a fun week with a lot to talk about.

yeah , I find the draft and UFA week like what the All-Star Break is for the regular seaosn( in that I stop thinking hockey for 1 weekend lol)... I havent really thought about the Canucks aside from obvious news in the off season but I click back on for this time but especially this season. Not since Brian Burkes return to Vancouver have there been so much buzz about big moves at the draft.

Here's HF's FINAL Top 15 rankings

5 Pietrangelo, Alex RD 1/18/1990 R 6.03.2 206 Niagara OHL
6 Schenn, Luke RD 11/2/1989 R 6.02.2 216 Kelowna WHL

If this thing weren't on a Saturday, I'd have made an effort to go in person. Too bad.

I would have thought that'd be easily inferred from my comment. Laughing

Nope,Contrary to the Tard comments from Razz,I might go straight across for the first rounder but no chance on throwing Edler in there imo.

I'm not sure I'd even throw the 1st in there... Isn't Carter an RFA?
