Butch updated Tuzer and the league back in Mid feb on the payout in the Yahoo post area of the pool.
Though you are right about his silence on here. 
Stupid Leafs losing the last couple of games.

I guess this is where I was confused as being in 3rd Place I expected some recourse. The payout doesn't really say only the regular season. I'm cool with it.....we just need to be clearer next time. The last thing I like in matters of money is controversy.

We should look to collect suggestions now while the league is fresh.
PM or E-mail them to me through my Yahoo fantasy user or here on OTP any suggestions for next year then I can throw them on a list for discussion among all without indicating who what suggestions came from.

Yeah, sorry guys - I hope I didn't throw a curveball here w/ how the payout works. I didn't change it at all from last season - top 3 in the regular season standings & the bonus going to championship winner. My only reasoning behind this was simply to reward the top 3 teams over the long haul as oppossed to a team having 1 or 2 great weeks & winning.
I thought I had this layed out clearly? I know I said Regular Season standings on the old OTP, but hindsight is always 20/20 - again, my apologies.
As for changes? This is how I had the scoring layed out the past 2 seasons on yahoo (Had this saved in an old Word document)
Goals
Assists
Points
PPG
SHG
GWG
+/-
PIM’s
Wins
GAA
Save %
Shut outs
12 categories, so this equates to each category contributing roughly 8.5% to the team’s overall score.
With this setup, the goaltender makes up 34% of the scoring – I didn’t’ think we would want 1 position contributing any further to the overall scoring. This essentially evens everything out between forwards, defensemen & goaltenders.
The only change I would like to see (and I have to admit, I was guilty of this myself in a H2H public league) is a limit on moves a team can make. Something high to maintain our freedoms, but I think when a team does constant adds/drops (especially during the playoffs) takes a bit away from it.
Anyhow - just a thought. Aside from Housy winning it all, this went very smoothly yet again! I never heard a thing from "Sabres" & it looked like he bailed 1/2 way into it, but at least we never had any problems receiving payments.
Speaking of which, how would you gentlmen like to be paid? Check, money order or Paypal?

Yeah agree that the movement numbers could be limited, though nothing crazy. Maybe find the average for the league from this year?
EDIT: Averaged out the moves per team throwing out the highest and lowest number and it came out to 37.1. Funny enough total moves made by my team was 37.

yeah....I like that. I didn't realize this strategy until my old man used it on me and beat me. I experimented with it on the last day just to see if it mattered......so I probably really skewed the numbers on the last day.
I wouldn't even mind seeing a roster freeze (Injury exception) through the playoffs.
Next year I'd also like to see a little go out to the Playoff 1-3.

I actually finished first in the regular season last year but AvM beat me in the final to win the playoff round I believe  Anyway,Thanks for all your donations to the Tuzer party fund again fellas |
