What a sick goal by Ovechkin for the GWG picks a pass lifts a stick and roofs it....f'n amazing...oh and Green wasn't too shabby either with 2 goals.

Flyers know they can win this series. The Caps defense is vulnerable. They already showed they have more depth. Play tighter defense in front of Marty and they will move onto the 2nd round.

I hear you. I don't count this a sure win for the caps at all. Briere had a hell of a game if it wasn't for Ovechkins sickening play.

Flyers should win this game tomorrow. They know that they can contain Ovechkin, they know that the Caps defense is weak. They know they have the depth and Marty knows what it's like to be in a playoff game. I fully expect them to be coming here for a game 3 with the series being tied at 1-1.

Any D with Tom Poti is questionable. Unfortunately they also have the most dangerous scoring stallion on the blue line this year in Green.

Bring on Kolzig...Huet has been bad from what I've sen and the one win the Caps have was in spite of his play and in no way because of it. Too many goals being beat by shooters in not great shooting locations.

Sorry Craig but I think you're a bit premature on yanking the Frenchman in favor of the German. Haven't seen too much of the game but Huet's been lauded by the announcers as being the reason they're tied 3-3 and not losing. Also, I saw him just now kill a penalty largely on his own. With dumbass Poti out there (my God possibly the most positionally unaware defender ever) doing your PK and the complete inability by Washington to get control of loose pucks in the defensive zone, he didn't get much help at all.
As for the penalty that led to said PK...
WORST FUCKING CALL IN THE PLAYOFFS SO FAR...after a spectacular effort by Jurcina to keep it in the zone, Kozlov barrels down the slot, he gets hit from the left side by Timmonen, falls into Biron, and gets called for interference!? Get the fuck outta here!!!  |
