Ummm... Bruins are doing well making the playoffs this year all things considered. I still think as a rebuilding project they may be a year or two away from seriously competing at a top level again, but a year or two isn't that far off.

Untill then I'll enjoy what ever the habs hand to them Very Happy

Translation: "We're in a funk."

Things hopefully get even more hopeless for the Bruins tonight.

The Habs lineup is in the lineup thread, so here's Boston's lines:

Forwards
Sturm - Krejci - Axelsson
Lucic - Savard - Murray
Schaefer - Metropolit - Kessel
Reich - Nokelainen - Thornton

Defence
Chara - Ward
Alberts - Ference
Stuart - Hnidy

Goaltender
Thomas-Auld

Why Sobotka isn't playing I don't know. He'd be a good energy guy for them. Why Wideman isn't listed on Ice Chips' lineup, I also don't know. Maybe Clode is starting to get panic finger again, which means he'll be tinkering the lineup incessantly until they hit the golf course. Pierre McGuire was also talking doomsday prophecies for the Bees tonight.

Well, the B's will definitely be desperate tonight. If the Habs can control the play early, this could be quick, but chances are just as good that Boston will start shooting from everywhere early, so Price and the D has to be ready to make quick plays getting the puck out.

Honestly, if the B's don't dress Wideman by choice that's a huge red flag, but I'd think Wideman will play barring severe injury. The B's might just be looking at pairings to work Alberts into the lineup. Obviously on their D, Hnidy is the weakest link but since he got the goal maybe they'll rotate someone else out instead.... maybe Ference.

Ference was pretty bad in Game 1, Hnidy hasn't really hurt us, and he can handle the rough going pretty well. Albe should be back in, dunno what Wideman's ailment is, so it's tough to say who checks out...

Sobotka should be back in up front, although at who's expense I dunno. Nokolainen or Reich, likely...

You would have said that about both Edmonton and Carolina too....

Wideman out - lower torso. Alberts is in.
Kessel a scratch - Sobotka is in.

It's called hitting, a concept that's probably foreign to the Bees.

Basically the Bees played the best period they possibly could and they're still losing.

Razz, note that I don't like posting during the periods because I have a comfortable couch and I prefer not getting up.

Rest assured during the intermissions I'll point out how hopeless things are for the Bruins.

No. Hitting is what we've been doing to you pussy asses. Whacking our sticks out of our hands and obstructing the hell out of us is what you have been doing. Are you even watching the game, or just listening while you blow ton ami?

Well, we're doing something you guys aren't... it's called scoring.

Sergei makes it 2 in 2 nights on a great play by Kovalev.

I posted in the playoffs forum before I realized the GDT was here...

Quote:
Well at least the Habs haven't cracked this wide open yet in Game 2. A late long bomb from Hammerdick opens the scoring. The Flames sure do miss Hammerdick. He's an extremely under-rated D man. He does all the little things right and is a very smart hockey player.....too bad teams usually don't realize what he brings until AFTER he is gone.
