Wow. I know he's supposed to be a good one but damn that is quite a contract after one full year in the NHL.
Lowe has become one weird cat in recent years. Maybe losing in the finals after having such a great run and coming so close fucked him up mentally? _________________

Meh, it's a better deal than the Carle deal. At least he's proven he can play a regular shift. _________________ It's backwards time. |

Still hung up on where he went to school? Or that you traded Gilbert for Salo? Should I keep going on this?
Anyways, this should mean Mike Green will get $9m per year this offseason. _________________ It's backwards time. |

How are they possibly going to sign even 1/2 of their young core throwing money around like this? |

Lost in this is that Nilsson got signed for a reasonable rate (3 years, $5.5m) as well.
Why do d-man command so much leverage? I really can't understand this trend.
Edmonton must be looking at some pretty major overhaul to accomadate this... can they deal Staois? Torres and Stoll have definitely got to be gone. _________________ It's backwards time. |
