A battle of current and former Canuck farm teams in the AHL playoffs:

1. MTB at SYR
Fri Apr 18 7:30 PM
2. MTB at SYR
Sat Apr 19 7:30 PM
3. SYR at MTB
Tue Apr 22 7:30 PM
4. SYR at MTB
Fri Apr 25 7:30 PM
5. SYR at MTB
Sat Apr 26 7:30 PM *
6. MTB at SYR
Mon Apr 28 7:00 PM *
7. MTB at SYR
Tue Apr 29 7:00 PM *

If not for Passover and an impending quick swing out to Vancouver, I'd actually consider trying to go see one of the games in Syracuse. Too bad.

Too bad sportsnet isnt gonna show any Moose games. Both teams will be full power , Crunch are CBJ's team. Looking forward to keep track of all the Canucks kids esp Schneider.

I actually had lost track of this series, but all three of the first games have gone into overtime:

April 18: SYR 2 MTB 1 (OT)
April 19: MTB 3 SYR 2 (OT)
April 22: SYR 2 MTB 1 (OT)

(Syracuse leads 2-1)

Who is the goalie for Syracuse and did Schneider start all of them for the Meese?

Good questions all:

Karl Goehring has played every minute for the Crunch.

For the Meese, Schneider has played the entirety of both OT losses. He was injured 4:20 into the 3rd period of the OT win, while nursing a 2-0 lead:

Moose Website wrote:
While Syracuse pressed, Schneider strove to make a save and then collapsed across his goal-line. Schneider suffered an injury on the play and had to be assisted off the ice, opening the playoff doors for All-Star netminder and Moose co-MVP Drew MacIntyre.

(Hey, they were co-MVPs... cool... pretty impressive for Schneider after his start).

DMac allowed both Crunch goals, and then got credited with the 'W' when Mike Brown scored in OT. Proof that stats are often kind of dumb.

Schneider was obviously back for the 3rd game, though, so let's hope all's still well.
