The Habs haven't had a two goal lead since Game 1. They've let the B's off so freaking easy early in games.... it's not just the 3rd period collapses.

| If only Boston had more speed. Those players I notice they do have with wheels have really made Price and the Habs D work tonight. Guys like Lucic, Kessel, Schaeffer, and Sobotka have all kinds of room in the offensive zone. |

I tuned into the last 1/2 of the 3rd expecting to see a Battle Royal with Cheese, and all I got was the Cheese. What happened to the Bruins - did someone not tell them there was a sudden death game on tonight?
Anyway, good to see another Canadian team get to the next round. I wonder if Stinky and Razz connected? It will be a disappointing night for the Razz for sure. |

Wow, was that ever a dominant period by the Habs. Kostopulous, Smolinski and Begin did an amazing job in the offensive zone. They were relentless getting to loose pucks. Higgins looked very good in the third too.

It could have easily went either way. Wow did Boston and Montreal put on a great series. Glad I didn't have to enjoy it with Montreal losing though, lol.
I'm guessing Razz will ignore this - he doesn't seem to pay attention to who says what

One subtle change in lines from Carbo, some stellar goaltending in the first from Price, and the Habs draw the Rangers (yeah, I already made that conclusion.
Some thoughts: The B's have a hell of a lot to be proud of. Their best players were top notch this series. Unless they expected something more from guys like Ward and Schaefer, I suppose. But then there was the young supporting cast: Kessel, Lucic, and Krejci were very good.
The Habs-Bruins rivalry is back in full force. And that's DAMN good news.
My three bums: Markov, Plekanec, and Streit (didn't get full into him in the rant, but some editing had to be done for length at the expense of content) came up big. Plekanec thrived with the Kostitsyns, and Markov actually looked assertive and confident. It helps that Komisarek had a great game, and that Kovalev-Plekanec was split.
Higgins-Koivu-Kovalev was a stroke of genius.
Streit scored THE goal we needed. Thank you, Mark. You aren't jettisoned to unrestricted free agency world just yet.
Carey Price... will people quit doubting him yet? Honestly, the least of my concerns came through like only he could. I jumped on James Mirtle's assertion that he had been rattled on his blog (which was supported by a Globe & Mail article). Fuck, I found that the most offensive article I've seen written about the Habs, moreso than any Boston one about "diving for 25".
I want to play Boston in Round 3 next time it happens. Enough with the first round! Let's both be awesome!
