Breezer scores! On his own net! 
That was a boring period, I think both teams looked pretty tired and disinterested, but the Flyers took advantage late and have a two goal lead. No penalties in the first, and no big hits.
Still anyone's game, as neither goalie looked sharp (Habs had two posts early).

Boring game goes into boring OT.
Neither team deserves to win this one, I'm very disappointed in the Habs and Flyers. Pretty much every goal/scoring chance came off a tired giveaway, strange bounce, pathetic rebound, broken stick. Neither team effectively set up in the other team's zone except for one Dowd shift.
It would be nice for the Habs to pull this one out, although I'm expecting a tougher game coming from both sides on Saturday.

Tom Kostopoulos pots the game-winner under a minute into OT. Andrei Markov gets a sticker on his helmet for taking a big hit from Hartnell (I think) at the blueline, keeping the puck in the zone.
We better see a different Flyer team, because the team we saw tonight won't provide much of a challenge. That defence is ridiculously slow. Conversely, the Habs will continue to have trouble winning games if they keep giving away the puck so damn much.
Carbo and Stepho will be cracking the whips tomorrow during practice.

Definitely not a classic, but the breaks came our way in a big way in the final minute.
GREEK LIGHTNING!!!!! with the winner on a shift that actually featured some strong play.
We'll see a better game on Saturday I'm sure. The Flyers played 3 games in 4 nights... they probably should've rested a couple guys tonight and got some fresh legs in there, like Parent or Modry (if he's available). But now the two teams have some idea of what to expect. I did like seeing chances off the rush for a change, though.

I am also getting sick of the Ole song, it's killing me.
I thought it was an ok game, both teams probably had a little let down after their game 7s. Looks like this series could get rough.

I must say, I enjoy the Briere booing a lot more than the usual booing. Especially when they cheer when he gets kicked out of the faceoff circle, which happened at least three times last night.
