I haven't kept up with my boy this year...
Is Hatcher out with an injury or is he going to be involved in the playoffs at all? _________________

Uh, he was definitely involved last night. Looked horribly slow when Plekanec got a clear breakaway on a puck race that should've been close and then he nearly destroyed Sergei Kostitsyn behind the net on a hit. To Sergei's credit, he got right back up, didn't retaliate, and never missed a shift. But the hit was huge. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. I should speak to her. He was also voted worst skater in the league in a SI players poll, finishing just ahead (or below depending how you look at it) Derek Boogard. _________________

We all knew Hatch would be slow, but Braydon Coburn looked really sluggish out there. The Habs kept missing their passes, but even with a mediocre performance they had way too many opportunities to skate through the Philly dmen. _________________ John McCain is fit as a fiddle… Is 71 the new 30?” - Fox News' Rich Lowry

Coburn looked slow? What game you were watching? He skated from behind his net all the way into the offensive zone with the puck. No Habs player could take it away from him. Hatcher was ok last night, good hit on one of the brothers. Flyers need to eliminate these 2nd period let downs. If they do that, they'd win more games. _________________

Philly blew two games in Round 1 that they were up by 2 or more, and another last night. What concerns me, though, is that Philly has bounced right back and won the next game both times. They shouldn't be blowing leads like this in the playoffs, but they do have the mettle to forget about it quickly and move on. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. Coburn might be aggressive on the forward rush, but in his own end he's not quick enough laterally to stop our faster forwards.
The guy was -2 afterall. _________________ John McCain is fit as a fiddle… Is 71 the new 30?” - Fox News' Rich Lowry

So he was a -2. He was +17 during the regular season. He's fast enough. _________________

It was a lucky bounce last game .... this is such an easy series to call; Montreal simply lacks the intestinal fortitude it takes to stand up against a team such as the Flyers.
Again, the Habs will be lucky to even get this series to 6 games.
Right SW?
Pffffffttttttttt ......... The Hab fans here don't know squat!

Stevens and Hatcher answer back:
| Quote: |
"Who likes the Flyers?" he asked. "It's the playoffs. That's our style of play and we're gonna keep doing it. They have a lot of skill and we're gonna be hard on their top people."
Scott Hartnell said that Timonen was probably "the last guy on this team, maybe in the league" that deserved a sucker punch to the face.
"He plays hard and he plays the game right, he doesn't take cheap shots after the whistle," Hartnell said.
So what should be the Flyers reaction tonight? Vengeance?
"You don't target Kostopoulos," Hatcher said. "You target [Saku] Koivu and Kovalev." |

Yeah, because pre-meditation is a good thing... the route of kings. Just ask Brad May, Marc Crawford, and Todd Bertuzzi. Or Nick Boynton.
Honestly, Kostopolous did step over the line, but it wasn't like he clocked him. And yeah, the Flyers were taunting after the goal, especially Timmonen. So is that the Flyers' style that Kimmo is referring to? Taunting teams for goals that shouldn't count?
In Flyers/Habs rivalry history, this incident barely registers. The Flyboys are just being overly sensitive on this one.
The Habs should've been frustrated at the refs for allowing the goal after Umberger whacked Price's glove, preventing him from making the initial save. Check the rulebook, that's interference. _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. I should speak to her. But what the hell can I say? I'm wondering what Hammer was doing throwing that elbow out when Hatcher was skating by? Seeing if he'd flinch? _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Managed to hang on for the win tonight. Thank you again Marty. Hatcher, play smarter next time. It's been a great series so far. _________________
