Sharks made it through Calgary. Dallas is confident. Might be the best Semi matchup.

These upstart Sharks are hitting this Dallas team at just the wrong time. The Sharks may have plenty of young studs such as Jeff Friesen, Mike Rathje, and Andrei Zyzuin, but they can't possibly match up against the likes of Nieuwendyk, Modano, Verbeek, Carbonneau and Hatcher. Belfour will also want to show up his old team.

Dallas takes this one.

I only wish the Stars had that lineup again. Sad

GO STARS!

Now, that pix would make a great avatar, should the Sharks take this series.

Morrow!

Really, this series isn't being hyped enough by me as a battle between who should be captain of Team Saskatchewan.

Brendan takes the early lead on Marleau with the big OT winner. A great play by Robidas again set it up. Jesus Christ this guy is having a playoff.

Its a shame we don't have more SJ or Dallas fans to start GDT threads. As I expected this series has certainly been a great treat to watch. The Stars are playing elite level hockey which has necessitated the Sharks to step up to the level they are capable of. The talent on the ice on this series is one step removed from unimaginable and they are putting it all on display. Bravo! 1-1 after 1 in Game 2.

What a brilliant pass by Zubov to Modano on the PP. Unbelievable for his first game back.

The Michalek goal in the second was brilliant too (great passing by Rivet and Campbell to spring Milan on the breakaway), but Dallas looks like they might get up 2-0 with 2 road wins just like in Round 1.

5-2 Dallas win. Man, what a 3rd by the Stars, and Nabokov has continued to be shitty this post-season.

When the teams are so evenly matched in the NHL, it helps to have a more rested goalie in the post-season... it really does.

Brad Richards had a goal and 3 assists in the 3rd. Shocked

The winner gets Link "The Missing Link" Gaetz and some rubble from the Met Center.

I try to start the GDT threads but I seldom have time to get on the computer in the evenings now...plus I don't have the stupid Versus network to watch so I can post during the games.

I will try to do better since the Stars are making it interesting now. Smile

I would hope this finally convinces ownership to jettison the jackass. Word has it DW wanted to do it last year but ownership blocked him.

Yeah, but then the question becomes this...

Is there a coach out there that actually could get Joe Thornton to produce in the playoffs? The only one out there right now that I think could is about to sign a 3 year extension with the best team in the league.

If he would still coach, this team would be prime for Bowmanization.

Where are you seeing this?

Gord Miller said it on TSN last night.

So Tipppet, Therrien, or Babblecock? Smile

Yeah, as if I'd ever say Therrien was the coaching solution to anything. Laughing

Tippett is a good coach, but not the "push the right buttons" type that Babblecock is.
