Yup. But this we knew. When diving teams like Montreal and Pittsburgh are 1-2 in their conference, you know the league has a lot of work to do to clean up the game and make sure the rules are enforced properly... |
I'm not denying it because I don't know the stats but when you call Montreal and Pittsburgh "diving teams" do you have access to any info to back it up - like diving penalties per team or anything? Or is it just your opinion? I hate diving as much as anybody else, I'd like to see some proof that these actually are diving teams.
As far as this series goes IMO it's pretty funny for a team with Avery on it to be calling out anyone for diving. _________________

One of the few times I think Razz would wholeheartedly agree with you.
Unfortunately I have to as well... |

I can't speak for Crosby or Pittsburgh, as I seldom get to see them play
Nor can I quote any statistics, though others might feel compelled to look them up ( I don't )
Montreal on the other hand, I can attest to their diving practice
I see them more often than I care to in the regular season with the unbalanced schedule
When 15,000 people either dress as lifeguards, or hold up signs saying "No Diving" or "10", I'd say the reputation precedes them.
At first it's amusing, but when you try to poke check the puck and your opponent ceremoniously mounts your stick and begins humping....

| The Habs definitely take the cake. Carbo should be run out of the league for teaching it, but Gary Bettman is no Clarence Campbell... |
