Quote:
Rangers bad boy Sean Avery, unconscious and not breathing, was rushed to a Manhattan hospital Wednesday morning in cardiac arrest just hours after his team's playoff loss, sources said.

Avery, 28, arrived at St. Vincent's Medical Center about 3 a.m., according to the hospital source. The Rangers had just lost 5-3 a short time earlier in the Stanley Cup playoffs against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Madison Square Garden.

Wow. Last night I turned to my roommate in the 3rd after Avery dumped the puck in and said "that's the first thing I've heard from him all night", despite the fact he had an assist. Was he labouring then, or was this something that happened after the game?

Well, that certainly is a different scenario than described above.

While in hospital doctors discovered Avery's mysterious second and third assholes. "That explains a lot", said Mt. Sanai Doctor Adam Goldbloom, "he's a real prick - even while heavily sedated, he found a way to piss me off and I was trying to help him."

Brodeur was waving a stick in front of the surgeon during the procedure.

Apparently the injury occured in the first period, and he didn't miss a shift.

Playoff hockey... gotta love it.

I can only hope the surgeon was a fan of hockey and humanity, and gave the dirtbag a vasectomy while he had him under.
