Was that you EL? Or your brother that I just traded Hughes to? Man, I almost fuckin' feel bad! Last game he played for me, he totally tanked, now he's out until "at least" July?
AND
I got Lyon in return? (Fuckin' Diamondbacks are looking good!)
Maybe Hughes can get his confidence back during his stint on the DL ..... injury is curoius though .... was first a hanstring, now rib cage? You would have thought the guy just centered the 3rd line for the Rangers.

That was me. I'd feel like I was gypped but I was the one who made the offer.
Truth is I didn't need the closer, and I assumed Hughes would go on the DL for 15 days, come back and start to play better. I've done this type of move a thousand times before, but it doesn't always work out. I have DL space and frankly I do more with waiver spots than most people, so I'll sit back and wait for a closer to lose his job.
That being said it was crummy timing on my part.

Yeah been waiting a few days now for Saturday when he goes on DL. But for six weeks I will just ride out a free agent before making a deal for a SS I will not want anymore when my guy is back.
OR in layman's terms...Butch don't bother trying to ass rape me.

My team is good and at this point do not see fighting for the a playoff birth so I am not making any deals to plug a short term hole.
