WTF?! "Chris Higgins is known as a support player and checker." - Pierre McGuire. Seriously... do they pay ANY attention to Montreal?

Hedberg and Price are the stories. It's almost not fair to put them through a shootout. Maybe they should have them shoot on the forwards.

I'm a little confused. As a Hurricanes fan, wouldn't you logically dislike competing teams in your division?

As for this game, we stole a point from Hotlanta. Little and Kovalchuk scored a pair of ingenious shootout goals.

Higgins gets the slump out him - he looked great in the third period. Ryder, on the other hand, didn't have a shift in OT.

Damn. But apart from Price, the team didn't show up unless they were on the PP - and even then, not always. Atlanta played to win - and they did. Too bad they picked one of the televised games. Evil or Very Mad

Well for some reason I tend to like rooting for the thrashers and capitals. I guess I'm a hockey fan first and foremost.

But I see your assumption.

That gave me bad memories of last year. Best plan would be to forget everything that happened last night.

To summarize, there was a real lack of energy out there. Time to panic? No, but I do feel this is a game that reveals a lot about this team. Bad habits can creep in when you experience early success, last year's Habs know this all too well.

I'd like to think they can forget about this one and move on, but part of me is wishing someone would get the call up just so we have some spare bodies with the current injuries around. I think Lapierre can definitely bring something to this team if in the lineup, but I also think the guys with the team right now all deserve more chances.

Kostitsyn needs to play, if for no other reason than to spot Ryder on the top line if he continues to stink it up.
