Good luck, dude! |
Congratulations and good luck, Av! I've been married now 14 years and I think I've not been in debt for about - oh - 14 minutes... So get used to it. _________________ ... Because the old one, is well, old.

Thanks guys...the Nebrasquosie is still shocked that I've been surprisingly calm throughout the whole process. I'm kinda shocked too. Guess it hasn't sunk in yet. I'll probably wait to have the coronary on the wedding day...which is a long ways off... I imagine I'll have the question popped sometime next month.
Now onto more important matters...
Hey Erik, how did the double-stripper date go? |

You just had to use my actual name when referencing strippers, eh?
It hasn't. Once we all sobered up we realized it probably wasn't going to be as fun/kinky as it seemed on paper. _________________ It seems like you need to be a physics professor to choose the right TV. Luckily, I am one.

Congrats, Tom!! Are you going to let her pick out said ring?
This news will not be shared with the LQ, as she's already been somewhat depressed over the sheer volume of people who hadn't even met yet when she and I started our relationship, who are now engaged or married.
I'm like the one guy who wants to get married -- and can't... _________________

| Yes...she's VERY picky about rings, so we went together to pick out the right one. It's not very traditional (she likes crooked bands as opposed to regular straight ones, so getting a matching wedding band's gonna be a pain) but it's very much her. I still have yet to pick it up from the store. Now the surprise comes as to when and how I'll pop the question. Gotta do the old-fashioned ask-the-parents first thing before I get down to business. She has all but said she'd like to be engaged on or before her birthday, which is June 30th. We are planning to take a trip to her parents' condo at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, so it'll be there more than likely. Trying to think of the best way to do it, but not coming up with anything as of yet... |

Well congrats! If shopping together she likely has to say yes. _________________ It's not you Sundin, it's me...please just leave...and don't look back....please please do not look back. |

Wait, you've gone to pick out a ring but haven't actually proposed? _________________

Maybe you should consult with her on the best way to propose. At least she gave you a precise date. _________________ It seems like you need to be a physics professor to choose the right TV. Luckily, I am one.

Oh I know, I know, just a formality at this point, but we've had our minds made up for a long while now...everyone pretty much knew we were getting married not long after we got together. I suppose that's why I've been so calm during the whole process.
But hey, the good news is I know she'll say yes, so no nervousness there. |

No worries, Tom. I assume this is how my sister and her boyfriend are moving along regarding marriage. All the decisions will be made before the question is asked.
So I guess I can add "congratulations" to my "good luck" comment then? _________________ "Oh my God. There she is. Lovely Sally Slater. I should speak to her. But what the hell can I say? Anything that doesn't mention that I masturbate over her memory is probably a good idea."

What do you mean you want to and can't?
Why not? Is it just a matter of waiting for the lil Q to be converted and accepted into your faith? Or is there something else? |

Hey, my wife also took me ring shopping and it worked out. Mind you we both only wanted to get married for the sake of having a big party. _________________ It's not you Sundin, it's me...please just leave...and don't look back....please please do not look back. |

I thought going ring shopping would be the normal thing to do. Seems to me that talking about marriage and figuring out what kind of ring she might like before going and popping the question would be a sensible thing to do Maybe the dude rejected at the half-time show didn't go ring-shopping first? _________________ Bring back the old OTP!
