As for CJ, come now Chet, you know damned well he's got "Redskins" written all over him. Laughing In fact I think he even posed in front of a Skins jersey with his number on it, didn't he? |
Funny I missed this...I hear before the draft Washington offered the Bungles a first rounder this year and a conditional first rounder next year for Chad
and they turned it down _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |

a few weeks late to discuss the draft but nonetheless here's Seattle's draft
1 28 (28 ) Lawrence Jackson DE USC
2 7 (38 ) John Carlson TE Notre Dame (
4 22 (121) Red Bryant DT Texas A&M
5 28 (163) Owen Schmitt FB West Virginia
6 23 (189) Tyler Schmitt LS San Diego St.
7 26 (233) Justin Forsett TB California
7 28 (235) Brandon Coutu K
I was a little suprised but not really with drafting DE Jacksn but you can never have too much depth in that position. Dont know much about him , Im always a little skeptical drafting guys from powerhouse programs like USC caz you dont know if its the player or the program (im talking about you Mike Williams and Matt Leinart) but yet Tatupu was a great USC product.
TE and FB were much needed. I forgot they needed a FB as a top priority. |

34 million in guaranteed money before playing a single fucking game
I imagine this is something the owners would like to address in the new CBA The rookie salary system in the NFL is possibly the dumbest thing in pro sports. _________________ Bring back the old OTP!

Yeah I was just thinking while reading it,
"does Matt Ryan now make more than Peyton Manning and Tom Brady?" _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |

Three words: No. Guaranteed. Contracts. Pro sports owners always seemingly find a way to do stupid things no matter what kinds of rules are in place to keep them from doing so. |

4.8 mil is a nasty cap hit, but being able to spread it over 2 seasons will help
Despite his assurances of "character" being the issue, I think Shannahan was thinking Henry wasn't going to play many games for the buck and decided to eat the cap hit _________________ I'm a Bruins fan - don't try to confuse me with the facts |

Christ, today was my day for Bills in Toronto tickets, and all they have left are the expensive seats in front.
I guess it's back to Buffalo for me. _________________ I need a vacation, sigh

This is incredibly serious stuff. The lawyer has very likely breached his professional duties by outing an informant - it certainly would be bigtime bad news if he had done it here in B.C. And the police have obviously fucked up because they are supposed to make sure that their informants are never, ever outed. Kaczur's safety is in jeapordy, and the media doesn't seem to grasp how bad it is that they are a party to this... |

more from the NFL police blotter....
Buffalo Police ask Marshawn Lynch to come forward
| Quote: |
He still has not talked to Buffalo police about his Porsche sport utility vehicle being involved in a hit and run accident early Saturday morning on Delaware and Chippewa.
Buffalo Police spokesman Mike DeGeorge said, "Whether Mr. Lynch was placed at the wheel at the time of the accident is still under investigation."
The hit and run victim, 27 year old Kim Shpeley of Milton, Ontario, had bruises in the hip area and required seven stitches. |

Well the defendant obviously knew who was setting him up when the cops arrived...at any rate, Kaczur must have been in deep deep shit to agree to wear a wire and jeopardize his life - his career is also now in jeopardy.
Normally someone does this to stay out of prison, but any deals he cut with the feds won't apply to his NFL career ... he could still be cut for the ethics thing

The cops go out of their way to dress up the takedown so that the rat isn't obviously identifiable.. |
